A battery unit with a battery housing with a base body having an open design at its two opposite end regions. Two battery housing covers are provided which can each be arranged so that they can be connected at one of the two opposite end regions to the base body in order to close the battery housing. At least two battery chambers are provided in the battery housing for the arrangement of battery cells. The base body has, for partitioning the battery chambers, at least one partition wall which extends from an end region of the base body to the other end region of the base body along its longitudinal extent. At least one of the battery housing covers or both battery housing covers has, on its respective side facing the partition wall, an open socket into which a respective partition wall can be inserted.

Battery unit and motor vehicle with a battery unit

A motor-vehicle traction battery arrangement has a plurality of battery modules arranged in a single horizontal plane (XY) in the vehicle floor, an electrical battery management system and a high-voltage busbar that electrically connects all battery modules and the battery management system to each other. The battery management system serves to monitor all battery modules and has, as functional components at least one contactor as well as, for each battery module, a temperature monitor and/or a voltage monitor. The battery management system is formed by at least two battery management sub-modules, each of which includes some of the totality of all functional components and which are arranged at a distance from each other.

Motor-vehicle traction battery arrangement

A motor vehicle traction battery arrangement includes two cooling plates respectively disposed in a horizontal plane and a high-voltage battery module. The lower and upper horizontal walls of which are cooled directly by the cooling plates and which encases a plurality of identical rectangular battery cells in a rigid battery module housing. The battery cells are all configured such that they are plate-like and elongated, are parallel to one another in vertical planes (y,z) and each includes two small-area vertical end walls, two large-area vertical side walls and two medium-area horizontal walls. On its end face, each battery cell includes an anodic connecting element and a cathodic connecting element. At least two similar cell stacks including a same plurality of battery cells are provided, and are stacked such that their battery cell side walls adjoin one another. The battery cell horizontal walls directly adjoin a cooled battery module horizontal wall.

Motor vehicle traction battery arrangement

A battery module includes a module housing, a cell stack having a plurality of battery cells including a rectangular surface and a cell thickness perpendicular thereto, and a separator plate. A laminar extension of the separator plate corresponds to at least the rectangular surface area of a respective battery cell. The separator plate is arranged between two adjacent battery cells of the at least one cell stack. On at least one separator plate side of the at least one separator plate between a lower and an upper edge of the at least one separator plate, at least two strip-shaped compression pads are arranged. The at least two strip-shaped compression pads directly abut the battery cell such that, longitudinally between the at least two strip-shaped compression pads, the at least one separator plate, and the respective battery cell, a respective flow channel is formed for a temperature control fluid.

An apparatus includes a battery arrangement and a protective arrangement. The protective arrangement includes a first layer, a second layer, a third layer disposed between the first layer and the second layer, and acceleration sensors. The third layer has a layer volume that can be reduced under the effect of pressure. The acceleration sensors include at least one first acceleration sensor and at least one second acceleration sensor. The least one first acceleration sensor is disposed in contact with the first layer and is configured to generate and output a first sensor signal as a function of the acceleration and wherein the at least one second acceleration sensor is disposed in contact with the second layer and is configured to generate and output a second sensor signal (SIG) as a function of the acceleration in order to enable detection of damage to the protective arrangement.

Protective arrangement for vehicle battery

A battery device for a motor vehicle, having a first battery module with a first housing, a second battery module which is arranged next to the first battery module in a first direction (X) with a second housing, a coolant channel, and a battery module connector arranged in the coolant channel for electrically contacting the first and the second battery module. The first and the second housing have coolant inlet openings on respective opposite end sides in a second direction (Y) arranged orthogonally to the first direction (X). In each case one coolant outlet opening is arranged in the center of the first or second housing with respect to the second direction (Y) and leads into the coolant channel.

Battery device for a motor vehicle, motor vehicle and method for operating a battery device

A battery module for a partially or fully electrically operated vehicle, having a battery housing, which has a main body with at least one open end, and at least one battery cell stack, which has a carrier plate at least at one end. The battery cell stack has been introduced into the main body such that the carrier plate substantially closes off the open end of the main body. On the carrier plate, there is provided an at least sectionally peripheral seal, which projects from the carrier plate and bears at least sectionally against the inner surface of the main body. The seal is of air-permeable form, so that, during the introduction of a fluid of relatively high viscosity into an intermediate space between the battery cell stack and the inner surface of the main body, displaced air can escape from the main body through the seal.

Battery module

A motor vehicle having a shell including a first side facing a roadway and a second side opposite to the first side, and a housing in which at least one electronic component is arranged. The housing is fastened to the shell via a mounting member. The mounting member is releasably fastened to the shell and the housing is releasably fastened to the mounting member such that, in a mounting operation of the housing, the mounting member and the housing are mountable on the shell via the first side of the shell, and the housing is removable via the second side of the shell during a removal operation of the housing.

Motor vehicle and method for mounting a housing on a shell of a motor vehicle

A battery device has at least one battery module including a battery module housing, in which battery module housing battery cells are provided. The battery cells each have a cell envelope with a cell vent. The battery module housing has a battery-module housing wall with battery-module housing vents. The battery-module housing vents are respectively assigned a first closure arrangement, which first closure arrangement closes the assigned battery-module housing vent in a first state (Z1) and opens it in a second state (Z2), in order to allow at least partial venting of gas from the battery module housing through the assigned battery-module housing vent in the second state (Z2) of the first closure arrangement. At least two of the cell vents respectively lie opposite an assigned battery-module housing vent, at least in certain regions.

Battery device

A battery arrangement for an electric vehicle including a battery housing and a plurality of battery cells. The battery cells are arranged in the battery housing. A protective plate is arranged on a side of the battery and faces toward a roadway. A deformation detection device includes at least one deformation sensor arranged at the protective plate. The protective plate is constructed of multiple layers and includes at least one first layer and one second layer separate from the first layer. The deformation detection device includes a first deformation sensor and a second deformation sensor. The first deformation sensor is arranged at the first layer of the multi-layer protective plate and the second deformation sensor is arranged at the second layer of the multi-layer protective plate.

Battery arrangement for an electric vehicle

A motor vehicle, in particular an at least partly electrically driven motor vehicle, has a battery device with at least one battery cell. The battery device is arranged in a floor region of the motor vehicle and has a protective device for protecting the battery device from mechanical action. The protective device has a protective plate, which is arranged in such a way that it covers the battery device at least in some regions, so that any mechanical actions are absorbed by the protective plate. The protective device also has an acoustic monitoring device, which monitors the protective plate acoustically and with which a signal can be output when a noise characteristic of a mechanical impairment of the protective plate is registered. Also disclosed is a method for monitoring the protective device.

A method for interconnecting cell stacks of a battery module in a battery. In the battery module, the cell stacks are arranged in a battery module housing. In each case two cell stacks are arranged next to one another and form a cell stack group, and the two cell stack groups are arranged behind one another. The two cell stacks of the first cell stack group are inserted into the battery module housing. The two cell stacks of the first cell stack group are electrically interconnected via at least one opening arranged in a wall of the battery module housing. The two cell stacks of the second cell stack group are inserted into the battery module housing. Electrically interconnecting the two cell stacks of the second cell stack group to each one of the two cell stacks of the first cell stack group.

Method for interconnecting cell stacks of a battery module in a high-voltage battery

A vehicle substructure for a motor vehicle driven at least semi-electrically including at least one chassis auxiliary frame for a rear axle chassis and a battery system arranged in a forward travel direction in front of the chassis auxiliary frame with a battery support structure for receiving at least one battery device. The battery support structure is connected to the body. A mounting carrier serves to transfer a load from the chassis auxiliary frame into the battery support structure in a crash event. The mounting carrier is suitable and configured so as to fixedly connect the chassis auxiliary frame and the battery system to one another prior to being installed in the vehicle, thereby providing a pre-mounting assembly. The mounting carrier can be downwardly disengaged from the chassis auxiliary frame and the battery system after the marriage has been established.

Vehicle substructure for an at least semi-electrically driven motor vehicle

A battery module includes a battery module housing and a battery cell package, which has a plurality of battery cells and is arranged in the battery module housing. The battery cell package is supported on an inner face of the battery module housing at least by way of an outer face. A battery cell monitoring unit is connected to the battery cells via a signal line. A protective plate is arranged on the outer face of the battery cell package that is supported on the inner face of the battery module housing. A recess is provided on the side of the protective plate facing toward or facing away from the battery cell package, in which recess at least one portion of the signal line is arranged.
