One or more example embodiments relates to a method for generating X-ray radiation having an X-ray characteristic, the method comprising providing a first type of examination information and a second type of examination information for selection; receiving the selected type of examination information in a controller; selecting an X-ray emitter configuration from a plurality of X-ray emitter configurations as a function of the received type of examination information via the controller; determining a control signal as a function of the selected X-ray emitter configuration; automatically adjusting a mechanical adjuster of the X-ray emitter according to the determined control signal to change an orientation of the X-ray emitter in relation to the recording area; and generating X-ray radiation with the X-ray characteristic via the X-ray emitter set for fluoroscopy of the examination object in the recording area.

A method for operating an X-ray imaging system includes outputting first X-ray beams onto an X-ray detector by an X-ray source for acquisition of a first X-ray capture of an object under examination. The X-ray detector acquires an entry dose of the first X-ray beams after passage through the object under examination. A parameter value of at least one parameter for output of second X-ray beams by the X-ray source for acquisition of a second X-ray capture of the object under examination is ascertained by a control system. The parameter value is ascertained by the control system according to a specified ascertainment method as a function of a foreground substance of a foreground object, a background substance of a background object, and the entry dose.

A method is provided for operating a medical X-ray device when carrying out an X-ray examination. In order to reduce the duration of the scan for the reliable determination of changes over time in a body region of an examination subject by an X-ray based subtraction method, the method includes recording a plurality of first X-ray images of a body region of an examination subject, wherein the recording of the plurality of first X-ray images ensues at a constant X-ray imaging frequency and a constant X-ray dose for each X-ray image recording. The method further includes generating a mask image, wherein the generation of the mask image includes an averaging of the plurality of first X-ray images; recording of at least one second X-ray image of the body region at a further time after the recording of the plurality of first X-ray images, wherein the recording of the at least one second X-ray image ensues at the same constant X-ray imaging frequency and the same constant X-ray dose for each X-ray image recording as for recording the first X-ray images; and generating a total image at least as a function of the mask image and of the at least one second X-ray image.

X-ray device and a method for operating an X-ray device when carrying out an X-ray examination

The invention relates to a method () for creating x-ray images as well as to an x-ray system. During the creation of an x-ray image, a slit diaphragm () is moved in front of an object () to be x-rayed, along a path extending between a radiation source () and said object (), in order for the object () to be scanned. X-rays emitted by the radiation source () are detected by a detector () upon penetration of the slit diaphragm () and the object () to be x-rayed. In order to create an x-ray image using a simplified slot scanning technique, the x-ray image is created without the need for a second slit diaphragm () between the object () to be x-rayed and the detector (), and only the radiation of which the intensity (), detected by the detector () during the scan, exceeds a predefined threshold value is processed.

Method for the creation of X-ray images, and X-ray system

Operating a medical image recording device in the context of an image recording routine for a patient is provided. The image recording routine serves an image recording purpose. The image recording device is controlled based on operating parameters implemented by a controller of the image recording device. The operating parameters are identified completely automatically by an identification algorithm from input data describing at least the patient in the form of a patient model and/or the image recording purpose, and from a registration of the patient with a coordinates system of the image recording device. The operating parameters are used to control the image recording device. An examination region that is to be recorded for the patient and the image recording purpose are derived based on the registration.

Operating a medical image recording device

The disclosure relates to a method and an imaging device for generating a new roadmap image of a target object. For the method, a first subtraction image is generated from a first mask image and a contrast agent image of the target object. A parameter value of a parameter of the imaging device that affects the acquisition of images by the device is then changed. A third mask image of the target object is acquired automatically by the imaging device using the changed parameter value. From a second examination image subsequently acquired using the changed parameter value, a third subtraction image is generated by subtraction of the third mask image. The new roadmap image is generated using the first subtraction image and the third subtraction image.

A method for training a function of an X-ray system that has a positioning mechanism such as a C-arm, a detector, and, in a beam path in front of the detector, an anti-scatter grid. An X-ray projection of a region of examination and an associated X-ray parameter are received via an interface, the X-ray projection including X-ray intensities in a first pixel set. The X-ray parameter relates to at least one X-ray voltage from an X-ray source. Scattered radiation intensity is determined in a second pixel set, the second pixel set being a subset of the first pixel set. A first calculation of first exposure parameters in the second pixel set then occurs, each of the first exposure parameters in a pixel of the second pixel set being based on the X-ray intensity in the pixel and the scattered radiation intensity in the pixel. Furthermore, a second calculation of a scalar second exposure parameter occurs based on the first exposure parameters and an adjustment of the X-ray parameter is performed by comparing the scalar second exposure parameter with a reference value.

Adjusting and X-ray parameter of an X-ray unit

Systems and methods are provided for generating X-ray pulses during X-ray imaging. A high voltage of an X-ray tube is automatically switched off. The tube voltage decays and upon reaching a predefined threshold value of the tube voltage or a predefined waiting time after switching off the high voltage, a grating voltage of a grating arranged between an emitter and an anode of the X-ray tube is automatically switched on. No electrons reach the anode from the emitter, and the tube current drops to the value zero.

Generating X-ray pulses during X-ray imaging

A method for correction of an x-ray image recorded with an x-ray device with an anti-scatter grid for effects of the anti-scatter grid is provided. The anti-scatter grid has a spatially periodically repeating geometrical embodiment, and a calibration image recorded without an imaging object is used. The calibration image and the x-ray image are transformed by a transformation into the position frequency space. In the position frequency space, adaptation parameters describing changes of the calibration image optimizing a measure of matching between the x-ray image and the calibration image are established. For correction, the adapted calibration image is subtracted from the x-ray image, and the x-ray image is transformed back into the position space again using an inverse of the transformation.

Correction of an x-ray image for effects of an anti-scatter grid

A method is provided for determining a navigation image displaying features of a region of interest of a patient, (e.g., used during a medical intervention). The method includes determining a first subtraction image by recording a first X-ray image with an X-ray device and subtracting a mask image. The method also includes determining a second subtraction image by recording a second X-ray image with the X-ray device and by subtracting the mask image or a further mask image. Additionally, the navigation image is determined by superimposing the first and the second subtraction image. At least one of the subtraction images is preprocessed before the superimposition by transfer from a gray-value space into a color space that is different from a color space of the other subtraction image. The navigation image is determined in color and/or the dynamics of at least one of the subtraction images are compressed.
