An aircraft fuselage is configured to receive two tanks designed to contain liquid hydrogen. The fuselage includes a first section for a cockpit, a second section for a passenger cabin and a third section (T) distinct from the first section (T) and from the second section (T). The third section (T) includes two housings each to house a tank. The two housings are arranged symmetrically with respect to a vertical plane of symmetry (P). This arrangement of the tanks in a section distinct from the other sections allows them to be located as close as possible to the motors that they have to supply.

An aircraft () including a wing (), the wing having an inner region () and an outer region (), the inner and outer regions () being connected by a hinge () defining a hinge line about which the outer region () is foldable to reduce the span of the wing. The aircraft () includes an actuator () arranged to actuate the folding of the outer region () of the wing with an actuation force. The wing () is braced by an external strut structure () for transferring some of the wing loadings in the outer region () of the wing away from the inner region of the wing (). The actuator () is arranged to exert the actuation force via the strut structure ().

An aircraft wing includes a leading element; a trailing element positioned behind the leading element relative to a direction of movement of the aircraft and an actuation system for moving one of the elements between a retracted position and an extended position in which there is an air gap between a lower surface of the leading element and a surface of the trailing element. Two or more elongate stiffening ridges extend downwards from the lower surface of the leading element, and each adjacent pair of ridges is separated by a channel. The leading element is shaped to provide an improved air gap, preferably one which is parallel or convergent in all positions. Typically the volume of at least one of the ridges is less than the 50% of the volume of a channel defined by that ridge.

An aircraft wing comprising a leading element and a trailing element moveably coupled together, said elements being positionable relative to each other so that air can flow from the underside of the leading element over the top of the trailing element through a gap between the leading element and the trailing element, wherein a trailing edge of the leading element proximate to the trailing element is configured to disrupt air flow as it flows over said trailing edge and through the gap.
