A frequency setting unit for a radio telecommunications network comprising a first, reference base station transmitting signals at a first frequency, and a second base station transmitting at a second frequency; the frequency control unit comprising: a radio receiver for receiving signals from the first base station; analysis apparatus for analysing the received signals to determine the first frequency; and feedback apparatus responsive to the decoding apparatus and coupled to the second base station for adjusting the second frequency with the aim of establishing a desired relationship between the second frequency and the first frequency.

The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for configuring an indoor base station for a cellular mobile telecommunications network. According to an advantageous embodiment of the inventive method, a mobile communications means is used to scan possible transmission frequencies on-site to find out free frequencies to operate on, and to transmit the results of scanning of the frequencies to the indoor base station and to choose proper parameters for the indoor base station. An arrangement according to an advantageous embodiment of the invention comprises an indoor Base Transceiver Station, mobile communications means for scanning frequencies and to find free frequencies and a Base Station Controller for controlling the base station.

Method and a mobile station for configuring a base station

A telecommunications system has a first transmitter unit for transmitting first signals to at least one station; a second transmitter unit for transmitting second signals to at least one station; a receiving unit associated with the first transmitter unit for receiving the second signals; and a synchronization unit coupled to the receiving unit for generating a control signal to at least one of the first and second transmitters to increase the synchronization of the first and second signals.
