A computer processor device provides a dependency tree representing (i) relationships among all the infrastructure elements in a computer system that are related to delivery of a service by a computer system, and (ii) how the infrastructure elements interact with each other in a delivery of said service, wherein a state of an infrastructure element is impacted only by states among its immediately dependent infrastructure elements of the dependency tree. The computer processor device determines the state of the service by checking current states of infrastructure elements in the dependency tree that immediately depend from the service.

Method and apparatus for event correlation related to service impact analysis in a virtualized environment

A computer implemented method, apparatus, and computer usable program code for balancing management loads. Loads are analyzed for a plurality of hardware control points to form an analysis in response to receiving a notification from a hardware control point indicating that a new manageable data processing system has been discovered. One of the plurality of hardware control points is selected using the analysis to form a selected hardware control point. The message is sent to the selected hardware control point to manage the new manageable data processing system, wherein the selected hardware control point manages the new manageable data processing system.

A method, computer program product, and system for allocating resources on computer systems are provided. The method, computer program product, and system provide for displaying a resource allocation matrix, the resource allocation matrix including a plurality of cells, each of the plurality of cells indicating a quantity of one of a plurality of resources on one of a plurality of physical systems allocated to one of a plurality of virtual systems hosted by the one physical system, receiving an input changing the quantity indicated in a cell, the cell indicating the quantity of a resource on a physical system allocated to a virtual system hosted by the physical system, and adjusting the quantity of the resource allocated to the virtual system based on the input.

Allocation of resources on computer systems

Automatically creating a current project in an application developer workspace is provided. In response to reading a project file for the current project, it is automatically determined whether the current project has one or more dependent projects based on data contained within the project file. In response to determining that the current project does have one or more dependent projects, a build file is automatically generated for each of the one or more dependent projects. The build file calls importing targets within each of the one or more dependent projects. Then, the current project and the one or more dependent projects are automatically imported into the application developer workspace to form a created current project. The created current project is created without launching an application developer application. In addition, the created current project is stored in a source code control repository.
