There is described a multi-unit dose dry powder medicament delivery device comprising: a first element comprising a single use nozzle located in a body which is at least partially lined with an inner member, said inner sleeve comprising an airway and a cartridge seat; and a second element adapted to be releasably attached to the first element, said second element comprising an actuator provided with an air source and a valve.

Multi-dose medicament delivery device

There is described a dry powder medicament delivery device comprising: a medicament container containing a unit dose of dry powder medicament; a medicament dispensing assembly; and optionally an air source.

Medicament unit dose cartridge and delivery device

The disclosure relates to a medicament delivery assembly that has a mouthpiece provided with an air amplifier and a primer source, where the mouthpiece and the air amplifier are each connected to the primer source via an actuatable valve. The air amplifier is also provided with a medicament extraction tube such that when the actuatable valve is opened, the primer source is activated and causes air to flow to the air amplifier. There is also described a method of administering a medicament using such a medicament delivery assembly.

Medicament delivery assembly

A delivery device, e.g. an inhaler, includes a rotatable metering member adapted to dispense a measured amount of material, a material delivery passage and a material delivery orifice and at least one actuator member adapted to move the metering member from a material retaining position to a material dispensing position. In a magazine including a plurality of metering members, the actuator and metering members may operate in a radial direction. A plurality of rotatable magazines may be utilized in the delivery device. The delivery device may be used to deliver a single or a combination therapy.

There is described a medicament delivery device which comprises a medicament reservoir, a medicament delivery passage and a metering member adapted to transfer a measured dose of medicament from the medicament reservoir to the delivery passage characterized in that the device is provided with a moisture proof barrier. The medicament delivery device is especially suited for use as an inhaler. There is therefore also described an inhaler which provides improved airflow for the dispersion of medicament, and a method of treating patients suffering from a respiratory disorder.

Delivery system

There is described a delivery device which comprises a reservoir, a delivery passage for the delivery of material and a metering member characterised in that the delivery device is provided with a plurality of reservoirs and that the metering member is provided with a plurality of measuring cups adapted to transfer one or more measured doses of material from one or more of the reservoirs to the delivery passage. A method of administering a dry powder and a method and especially a method of treatment of a patient with a bronchial disorder are also described.

Inhaler

A dry powder inhaler comprises a body defining a storage chamber for a powder and further defining an inhalation passage through which air is drawn via a mouthpiece A flow duct passing through the mouthpiece includes a circulatory section in which the flow duct is in the form of one or more passageways. The flow duct further includes a cyclone chamber between the circulatory section and the outlet of the mouthpiece.

Powder inhaler

A metering device, for use in transferring a desired volumetric dose of a flowable substance from a storage chamber containing the flowable substance to a location outside the storage chamber, is disclosed. An outlet conduit is arranged between the storage chamber and the location to which the dose is to be transferred. The metering device is of such size and shape as to be able to pass through the outlet conduit and includes first and second end element which, when the metering device is located inside the outlet conduit, are in a sealing engagement with the inner walls of the outlet conduit. The shape of the metering device between the first and second end elements is such that a space of the desired dose volume is defined between the first and second end elements and the intervening section of the inner walls of the outlet conduit, in which space the flowable substance from the storage chamber may be enclosed. The metering device is of particular use in a dry powder inhaler.
