The invention relates to a headlamp for vehicles with a light source for emitting a light beam and with an optical unit containing a projection lens which deflects a first part of the light beam for generation of a light distribution with a light/dark boundary. A second part of the light beam emitted by the light source is guided in an area above the light/dark boundary of the light distribution for detection of high-mounted traffic signs. The projection lens is configured as a Fresnel lens which comprises arch-shaped first usable edges in an upper half space and in a lower half space for deflection of the first part of the light beam, and which comprises a number of arch-shaped second usable edges exclusively in the upper half space for passage of the second part of the light beam therethrough.

Headlamp for vehicles

A headlamp includes adjacent light sources. A collimator contains adjacent collimating lenses, each with an entry and an exit surface. A secondary optical element has at least one transparent substrate with an entry and an exit surface. Two sections are adjacent to one another on the substrate. An array of cylindrical lenses is placed in a first section, and there is no array of cylindrical lenses in a second section. The light emitted from one light source to pass successively through the entry and exit surfaces of one of the collimating lenses and then through one of the sections of the secondary optical element. An array of refractive structures is placed in the second section, each of which contains a prism on the entry and exit surfaces. The refractive structures cause the light exiting the collimator to pass successively through both prisms of one of the refractive structures.

Headlamp for a motor vehicle

A Fresnel projection lens for a headlight of a motor vehicle having a light entry surface, wherein the light entry surface has a smooth or substantially smooth surface, and with a light exit surface. The light exit surface has a plurality of adjacent, in particular annular, flanks, wherein one flank each comprises a bottom, an effective facet, and an interfering facet arranged at a first pitch angle to the effective facet. The effective facet and the interfering facet form a cut edge opposite the bottom. A pass-through area is provided on at least one of the flanks, wherein the pass-through area is angled to the effective facet.

Fresnel projection lens with integrated function for satisfying overhead sign values

A lighting device having a light source, an optical element associated with the light source and designed as a reflection lens which, in a central region accommodating an optical axis of the optical element, has a lens section which has a first coupling-in surface on a coupling-in side and a first coupling-out surface on a coupling-out side. The light source is tilted and/or is arranged rotated about the optical axis in the plane running perpendicular to the optical axis, with the formation of an obliquely running edge of the light source, and the first coupling-in surface, the second coupling-in surface, the reflection surface, the first coupling-out surface, and/or the second coupling-out surface of the optical element are shaped in such a way that the predetermined light distribution is produced with imaging of the edge of the light source as a cut-off line.

Lighting device for vehicles

A headlamp for vehicles comprising at least one light source for generating at least one light beam, a scanning device for one-dimensionally scanning the at least one light beam bidirectionally in a scanning direction, and an array of optical elements arranged side by side in a direction that corresponds to the scanning direction so that the at least one light beam impinges on the optical elements successively. At least some of the optical elements are designed to expand the at least one light beam in a direction perpendicular to the direction, in which the optical elements are arranged side by side.

A headlight featuring a laser light source and a converter for converting a short-wave laser beam generated by the laser light source into white light. The headlight also includes a light-forming element for creating a beam path using the white light of the laser light source, as well as an IR sensor for measuring the IR radiation generated by the converter.
