A hair removal apparatus constituted of: an elongated heating element constituted of a material which generates heat responsive to electric power being applied thereto; and a hair adjustment unit comprising: a first elongated member generally in parallel with the elongated heating element, a second elongated member generally in parallel with the elongated heating element, and a plurality of extension members extending from the second elongated member, away from the first elongated member, the elongated heating element positioned between the first elongated member and the extension members, wherein each extension member exhibits a base end and a tip end, each extension member extending from the second elongated member at the base end towards the tip end, and wherein a first face of each of the plurality of extension members, at the tip ends, and a face of the first elongated member define a plane.

Hair removal apparatus

A hair shaving apparatus constituted of: a heating element arranged to be heated to a temperature sufficient to cut hair proceeding from a skin surface; a shaving head exhibiting a pair of opposing walls, the heating element positioned in between the opposing walls and juxtaposed to an opening plane defined by an end of each of the opposing walls; and a handle coupled to the shaving head and exhibiting a longitudinal axis arranged to present a device angle with the skin surface, wherein the opening plane is arranged to be rotated about a first and a second rotation axis, generally orthogonal to each other and generally parallel to the opening plane, the rotation about the first and second rotation axis maintains a generally parallel relationship between the opening plane and the skin surface when the device angle changes.

Hair shaving apparatus with adjustable head angle

A motion sensor constituted of: a housing; a rotating member secured to the housing and arranged to rotate about a rotation axis of the rotating member responsive to motion of the housing across a surface; at least one bipolar magnet secured to the rotating member so as to rotate about the rotation axis of the rotating member with the rotation of the rotating member; and a transducer secured to the housing and juxtaposed with the rotating member, the transducer arranged to vary its output voltage in response to changes in magnetic field caused by the rotation of the at least one bipolar magnet.

A hair removal and re-growth suppression apparatus () constituted of: a control circuitry (); a removal and suppression head (); an extender assembly () coupled to the head () and extending away from a wall of the head () towards an end thereof, the extender assembly defining an opening () at an end thereof removed from the wall of the head (); an irradiating element () secured to the head () responsive to the control circuitry (); a reflector () disposed on the head () between the irradiating element () and the head (); and a cutting element () secured to the head () and arranged to cut hair when the opening () is juxtaposed with a skin portion () having a hair () extending outward there from, wherein the reflector () is arranged to substantially reflect the output electromagnetic radiation toward the opening (). Optionally, the irradiating element () is regularly translated between a first and a second position to heat and cut the hair without damaging the skin.

A hair shaving apparatus constitute of: a power source; a control circuitry; a housing, an end of the housing arranged to be juxtaposed to a skin surface; a motion sensor arranged to detect motion of the housing along the skin surface; a hair cutting element secured in relation to the housing, the hair cutting element arranged to be heated to a temperature sufficient to cut hair proceeding from the skin surface; a translation mechanism arranged to translate the hair cutting element between a hair shaving position and a retracted position; and a radiation source, the radiation source responsive to the control circuitry to provide radiation when the motion sensor detects motion in excess of a predetermined minimum quantity, the provided radiation arranged to impact the skin surface for which the hair cutting element is arranged to cut hair with a fluence of at least 0.5 Joules/cm.

Heated element based shaver with hair regrowth suppression

A hand held, home use, device for treatment of skin, comprising: a housing exhibiting an opening therein and forming an air cavity when the opening is placed in contact with the skin; an incandescent type bulb secured within the housing and arranged to irradiate the skin with infra-red radiation and heat air within the formed air cavity, the incandescent type bulb exhibiting a filament; and a control and driving circuitry in electrical communication with the incandescent type bulb and operative to output a train of pulses exhibiting an on time when current is driven through the filament and an off time when current is not driven through the filament, the off time greater than or equal to the on time, the off time being of a duration such that the infra-red radiation irradiating the skin falls, during the off time, to no less than 25% of its maximum value.
