The systems and methods described herein provide an audio system and modules that include speakers that can be packaged in new locations, and/or that can be driven by a local amplifier (amp). The new audio system can be easily upgraded with more modules inserted into the speaker network. For example, the custom system can increase capacity by replacing a trim panel with a new integrated trim panel having a module with one or more smaller speakers and the local amp. A control processor can detect the modules, which may include a digital signal processor (DSP), an amp, and/or at least one speaker.

Distributed and upgradable audio system

A vehicle control system is provided that is able to identify a particular driver from other potential drivers, monitor various vehicle functions, and determine if the identified driver repeatedly performs the same behavior upon activation of the car. When the control system determines that the identified driver repeats the same behavior each time the car is activated, the controller learns that behavior and associates it with the identified driver so that the learned behavior can be automatically performed, without driver interaction, when the driver is identified and the car is activated.

Event sensitive learning interface

A vehicle control system is provided that is able to (i) identify a particular driver from other potential drivers and (ii) monitor various vehicle functions in order to determine if the identified driver repeatedly performs the same behavior when the vehicle is at or near the same location. When the control system determines that the identified driver repeats the same behavior in response to the vehicle being at or near the same location, the controller learns that behavior and associates it with the identified driver so that it can be automatically performed, without driver interaction, when the vehicle is at or near the same location in the future.

Location sensitive learning interface

A vehicle control system is provided that is able to (i) identify a particular driver from other potential drivers and (ii) monitor various vehicle functions in order to determine if the identified driver repeatedly performs the same behavior at approximately the same time of day on the same day of the week. When the control system determines that the identified driver repeats the same behavior in response to the same temporal conditions, the controller learns that behavior and associates it with the identified driver so that it can be automatically performed, without driver interaction, under the same temporal conditions in the future.

Time and day sensitive learning interface

A method is provided for automatically activating a car's cross traffic camera system when turning a corner and displaying the camera feed on a dashboard mounted display, thereby enhancing cross traffic visibility and making the maneuver safer. The system can be configured to anticipate an upcoming turn based on use of the turn signal alone, or the turn signal in combination with vehicle speed. The display of the camera's data feed is terminated after completion of the turn, where turn completion is typically based on (i) deactivation of the turn signal, (ii) the position of the steering wheel, or (iii) vehicle speed.

Time sensitive learning interface

A method is provided for automatically activating a car's side view camera during lane changes and displaying the camera feed on a dashboard mounted display, thereby eliminating blind spots and making the maneuver safer. The system can be configured to anticipate an upcoming lane change based on use of the turn signal alone, or the turn signal in combination with vehicle speed and/or determination of a second vehicle located in the primary car's blind spot. The display of the camera's data feed is terminated after completion of the lane change, where lane change completion is typically based on deactivation of the turn signal or the vehicle crossing over the lane markers.

Automatically activated blind spot camera system

A power distribution module for use in a vehicle's power control system is provided. The power distribution module includes a plurality of control circuits, each of which is under the control of its own circuit switch, and each of which is coupled to one or more electronic control modules. The power distribution module also includes a processor that is configured to close each of the circuit switches, thereby providing power to the corresponding control circuits, in response to current vehicle conditions and in accordance with a preset set of conditions. An extended storage switch, when closed, prevents the power distribution module from electrically connecting any of the control circuits to the power source, thereby allowing parasitic power loss to be reduced to the point where the only loss is due to internal self-discharge.

A power distribution module for use in a vehicle's power control system is provided, the use of which helps to minimize parasitic battery losses while providing additional control over the vehicle's electrical components and subsystems. The power distribution module includes a plurality of control circuits, each of which is under the control of its own circuit switch, and each of which is coupled to one or more electronic control modules. The power distribution module also includes a processor that is configured to close each of the circuit switches, thereby providing power to the corresponding control circuits, in response to current vehicle conditions and in accordance with a preset set of conditions.

The method comprises selecting a primary territory having associated operating hours, identifying maintenance hours that exclude the operating hours, and selecting a maintenance time within the available maintenance hours. The midpoint of the maintenance hours may be selected as the maintenance time, or activity distribution data may be analyzed to select a maintenance time corresponding to a low activity time.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for displaying a videoconference includes receiving a first video feed. The first video feed includes a first plurality of video signals, each video signal from at least one source and originating from one or more sites. The method also includes assigning for a videoconference each video signal of the first plurality of video signals to a zone of a plurality of zones of a display window. Each zone of the plurality of zones is able to display one video signal at a time. The method further includes, for each zone of the plurality of zones of the display window to which more than one video signal has been assigned, switching the current video signal to be displayed in the zone to another video signal assigned to the zone based on a switching protocol.

System and method for displaying a videoconference

A display device may reduce the latency of the display of a digital signal by reducing the latency that the display device adds to the digital signal. After a digital signal is received by an input module, the signal is stored in a frame buffer as a plurality of pixels. A controller determines the input frame rate of the digital signal and a pixel delay. The controller monitors the frame buffer to determine when the frame buffer has stored a number of pixels greater than or equal to the pixel delay. After the frame buffer contains enough pixels, the controller initiates transmission of the pixels from the frame buffer to a display module. In certain embodiments, the controller initiates transmission of the pixels to the display module before the frame buffer has stored all pixels corresponding to the frame.

The fields of vision each have lateral boundaries. The system also includes a plurality of restrictive elements. Each restrictive element is positioned along a respective lateral boundary of a field of vision of the fields of vision of the plurality of cameras such that viewed users each positioned within a field of vision of the plurality of cameras are restricted by the plurality of restrictive elements from moving outside of the field of vision in which each viewed user is positioned.
