A method includes generating a virtual model of a human body based at least in part on a selected image of the human body and generating a segment of an article of clothing based at least in part on a selected image of the article of clothing. The method also includes generating a layer mask indicating whether a plurality of output pixels of an output image should be produced according to the image of the human body, the image of the shirt, or the image of the pair of pants and producing the plurality of output pixels of the output image according to the layer mask. The output image shows the article of clothing on the human body in the selected image of the human body.

Evaluation rooms (or fitting rooms) at a clothing store include replenishment closets that are accessible to customers and associates of the clothing store, albeit not at the same time. Doors of evaluation rooms include access control systems with interlocks that govern operation of the respective doors. Before an associate opens a first door between an exterior of an evaluation room and a closet to place an item therein, a second door between an interior of the evaluation room and the closet is locked. After the associate places the item in the closet, the first door is closed and locked, and the second door is unlocked, enabling the customer to open the second door and retrieve the item. Feedback indicating that items are being staged in a closet, or that items are staged therein and the closet is accessible to a customer, is provided to the customer within the evaluation room.

Delivering items to evaluation rooms while maintaining customer privacy

Systems and methods are described for providing an item acquisition modeling service. An item acquisition modeling service may determine the expected amount of time required to acquire a set of items from a distribution center. The item acquisition modeling service may estimate travel times and acquisition times for individual items in the set, using a machine learning model that is trained on previous acquisitions of items, and may aggregate individual item estimates to generate a time estimate for the set of items. The item acquisition modeling service may generate and display user interfaces that indicate the elapsed time and remaining time relative to the estimated time, and may indicate whether items are being acquired more quickly or more slowly than the estimate. The item acquisition modeling service may further display target or goal acquisition times, and may indicate whether items are being acquired at a rate that achieves the goal.

Method and apparatus for controlling delivery of an item. An electronic order specifying the item is received. An item profile for the first item is retrieved. A first instance of positional data for the user and a pattern of delivery preferences of the user are determined. Embodiments determine a first location for delivering the package to the user, based on the item profile, the first instance of positional data for the user and the pattern of delivery preferences of the first user. Shipment of the first item towards the first location is initiated, and based on subsequent network communications with an electronic device associated with the user, a second instance of positional data is determined. Delivery of the first item is facilitated to one of the first location corresponding to the first instance of positional data and a second location corresponding to the instance of positional data.

Just-in-time package routing and delivery

A system may enable a customer to identify and order one or more items available at a first merchant located at a first geographic location for pick-up at or delivery from the first location. The system may also enable the customer to select a second merchant at a second geographic location and submit the order for the one or more items to the second merchant. The system may provide the customer with a preview of the availability of the ordered items, for example, the items unavailable, at the second location, and in some instances, suggested alternatives. As a result, the customer may be able to determine whether the ordered items are available at the second location and make an informed decision about whether to switch the order from the first location to the second location. The first and second merchants may be commonly owned or owned by different entities.
