An example method performed by a processing system includes obtaining a light detecting and ranging point cloud of a building, where the point cloud includes a plurality of points, and where each point is associated with a set of (x,y,z) coordinates. A first point of the plurality of points is assigned to a subset of the plurality of points that is associated with the building, where the subset includes points whose (x,y) coordinates fall within a footprint of the building. The first point is grouped into a first cluster according to at least one of: a (z) coordinate of the first point and a gradient to which the first point belongs. A first prism formed by the first cluster is constructed. A model of the building is stored as a plurality of connected prisms, where the plurality of connected prisms includes the first prism.

Disclosed herein is a method and system for flying a ducted-fan aerial vehicle, such as an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The method includes receiving a flight plan comprising a plurality of waypoints and a plurality of path segments connecting the plurality of waypoints in an order of execution. The method further includes determining actual flight instructions for the ducted fan unmanned aerial vehicle based on (i) the received flight plan, (ii) a predetermined set of operating parameters associated with the ducted fan unmanned aerial vehicle, and (iii) an iterative analysis of a plurality of ordered triples. The method further includes sending the actual flight instructions to at least one processor of the ducted fan unmanned aerial vehicle configured to implement one or more portions of the actual flight instructions.

Carrageenan-immobilized enzymes are prepared that are stable and retain high activity toward substrates when used in substantially water-immiscible organic solvents. The carrageenan-immobilized enzymes are preferably prepared by introducing droplets of an enzyme/carrageenan solution into a chilled alcohol saturated with a potassium salt and hardening the droplets in the alcohol. The alcohol is selected from n-butanol, benzyl alcohol, crotyl alcohol, n-propanol, isopropanol and sec-butanol. Reactions catalyzed by a .kappa.-carrageenan-immobilized esterase include steroselective transesterifications and hydrolysis reactions.

Spray gun for aerosol can

An operating handle for an aerosol container features a hand grip portion, a shell portion and a trigger assembly interconnecting the hand grip portion and the shell portion. The trigger assembly includes an actuator arm for engaging the plunger head of an aerosol container and a trigger arm projecting along the hand grip portion whereby the trigger arm can be squeezed toward the hand grip portion to drive the actuator arm against the plunger head. The shell portion serves as a receptacle in which the aerosol can is secured and as a shield for isolating the hand and fingers from exposure to the aerosol spray. A quick release fastener assembly is carried by the shell portion for securing the aerosol container in a stable, upright operating position within the shell.
