A subject of the present invention is the use of a compound having the general formula (I): (I) wherein V, W, X, X, X, X, X', X&#x2032;, X&#x2032;, X&#x2032;, Y, Y&#x2032;, R, R&#x2032;, Rand R&#x2032;are as defined in any one of claimsto, for the detection, capture and/or separation of polluting gases, in particular those selected from the group comprising carbon dioxide, methane, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, linear hydrocarbons, linear mono-olefins and their mixtures, and preferably carbon dioxide. Another subject of the invention is a compound of formula (I) wherein V, W, X, X, X, X, X&#x2032;, X&#x2032;, X&#x2032;, X&#x2032;, Y, Y&#x2032;, R, R&#x2032;, Rand R&#x2032;are as defined in any one of claimsto. 

Compounds for the detection, capture and/or separation of polluting gases

The present invention relates to reducible porous crystalline solids, constituted of a metal-organic framework (MOF), for the separation of mixtures of molecules having different unsaturation degrees and/or a different number of unsaturations with a selectivity that can be adjusted by controlling the reduction of the MOF. The MOF solids of the present invention, after reduction, have a strong affinity for molecules containing at least one unsaturation. They can be used in various separation processes, especially those relating to hydrocarbons.
