A safety vest is claimed and described. In preferred embodiments, the vest includes a front panel formed from a first section and a second section. The vest also includes a donning fastener having a first and second side. The first donning fastener side connects to the first section of the front panel. The vest also includes a safety fastener having a first safety fastener side and a second safety fastener side. In most embodiments, the first side of the safety fastener is positioned on the second donning fastener side. The second safety fastener side is connected to the second section of the front panel. The vest can be donned, secured, and removed with the donning fastener and, because of safety fasteners, will safely break away from a wearer under tension.

Breakaway vest

A process to remove a semiconductor die from a plastic package and then to reassemble the die in a high reliability hermetic package. The process is used to remove an already existing die using a unique disassembly and etching process and make the removed die more reliable by reattaching the die and rebonding all new die wires into either a hermetic package or a different type of package with a &ldquo;bond-on-top-of-bond&rdquo; technique. The original bondfoot on the removed die may be first preconditioned by a novel bond-flattening tool, which can be attached to the bond-head chuck of any wirebonder. Also, the die can be used in other applications with different pin-outs or configurations.

Method and apparatus for modifying a video signal to inhibit

A method and an apparatus which modifies a video signal such that a conventional video monitor reproduces a normal picture from the modified video signal, whereas a videotape recording of the modified video signal and subsequent playback thereof produces disturbances in the displayed picture. Predetermined portions of the video signal are identified and copy protection signals are added thereto. The signal mixing and delaying characteristics of a videotape recorder comb filter are exploited to modify, produce and relocate synchronization and burst interfering copy protection signals added to an original videotape recording.

A protective guard for ground floor windows of a dwelling or other building is disclosed herein having a barred grill or grid network releasably secured to the exterior edge marginal region of a window frame. The releasable securement includes a bolt extending through selected bars of the grill and through the window frame with a pull-out pin installed on the interior end of the bolt. A compressed, helical spring is situated between the frame and the pin for forcibly urging the release mechanism out of engagement with the bolt when the pin is withdrawn. Release of the bolt frees the grill so that the grill may be readily removed to permit passage through the window by persons or objects.
