A method for manufacturing a spherical cage. The method includes providing a wire braid and inserting a spherical ball inside the wire braid. The wire braid and spherical ball are placed inside a mold. Excess wire braid is trimmed from the mold, creating trimmed ends of the braid. The mold is heat set with the spherical ball and wire braid. The spherical ball and wire braid are removed from the ball and the spherical ball is removed from the wire braid, resulting in a spherical wire cage.

Avascular necrosis cage manufacturing process

Methods and devices are provided for regenerating a meniscus. The devices comprise a layer of toughened naturally occurring extracellular matrix. The devices may, optionally, further comprise a biologic material to provide a framework for meniscus regeneration. The methods comprise the steps of removing a portion of a meniscus to provide a space, and inserting a device comprising a layer of toughened naturally occurring extracellular matrix into the space.

Meniscus regeneration device

An implantable tissue repair device has a cover and tissue regeneration material. The cover includes a top panel and a bottom panel joined together along a leading edge. The tissue regeneration material is positioned between the top and bottom panels. The cover includes a continuous sheet of biocompatible material extending across the edge and into the top panel and bottom panel. The cover is thicker along the leading edge than at least a portion of the top panel and thicker than at least a portion of the bottom panel. At least a portion of one of the panels covering the tissue regeneration material is thicker than a portion of the other panel covering the tissue regeneration material. A method of making the device is also disclosed.

Implantable tissue repair device

A bioprosthetic device is provided for soft tissue attachment, reinforcement, and or reconstruction. The device comprises a naturally occurring extracellular matrix portion and a synthetic portion.

Hybrid biologic-synthetic bioabsorbable scaffolds

A device for preparing small intestines of a vertebre is provided. The device includes a body for cooperation with the small intestines. The body defines an external periphery of the body. The device further includes means for longitudinally slitting the small intestines. The means for longitudinally slitting the small intestines is operably associated with the body. The device further includes means for despooging the small intestines in juxtaposition with said body.
