A method can include providing a first pre-mix that includes a first population of solid particles of a first material for lithiation in an electrode of a lithium-ion cell and a second population of solid particles for a second material for lithiation in the electrode of the lithium-ion cell; providing a second pre-mix that includes a population of solid particles of the first material for lithiation in the electrode of the lithium-ion cell; forming the electrode by coating a substrate using the first pre-mix and the second pre-mix to form a coated substrate with a desired distribution of the second material in the electrode; and forming the lithium-ion cell using the electrode.

A screw includes a screw head, a threaded shaft, and a force release component connecting the screw head to the threaded shaft. The force release component releases the screw head from the threaded shaft in response to a specified force. The specified force is substantially along a screw axis in-line with the threaded shaft.

A battery includes multiple aligned and stacked cells. Each cell includes a cathode layer having a cathode notch formed on a perimeter of the cathode layer and a cathode electrode extending from the perimeter of the cathode layer. Each cell also includes an anode layer having an anode notch formed on a perimeter of the anode layer and an anode electrode extending from the perimeter of the anode layer. The respective cathode and anode electrodes extend through the respective anode and cathode notches in the stacked cells to contact a battery case to form positive and negative contacts of the battery.

In one aspect, an apparatus includes at least one processor and storage accessible to the at least one processor. The storage includes instructions executable by the at least one processor to use an ultra-wideband (UWB) transceiver to determine a current location of a device and to, based on the current location as determined using the UWB transceiver, restrict how the device can be used while the device is located at the current location.

An electronic device is provided that includes a layered screen configured to present an image. The electronic device includes a memory to store executable instructions, and one or more processors. When implementing the executable instructions the one or more processors are configured to generate the image at a determined distance and location from the screen at a convergence focal location. The image is in focus at the convergence focal location and out of focus elsewhere.

An apparatus includes a battery having a battery monitoring unit (BMU) and an outer casing, and a resistance measuring device coupled to the outer casing. The battery monitoring unit and the resistance measuring device monitoring a change in surface temperature on the casing of the battery during a charging or discharging of the battery, compare the change in surface temperature with an expected change in surface temperature during the charging or discharging of the battery, and determine that a swelling of the battery has occurred when the change in surface temperature is less than the expected change in the surface temperature.

One embodiment provides a method, including: identifying, based on context data, a location of an information handling device; accessing a settings profile for the information handling device that is based on the identified location; determining, using a processor, whether at least one current setting on the information handling device is inconsistent with the settings profile; and adjusting, responsive to determining that the at least one current setting is inconsistent with the settings profile, the at least one current setting to match the settings profile for the location. Thermal spreaders for targeted heat dissipation of an electronic component are disclosed. One thermal spreader includes a thermally conductive composition configured to function in conjunction with an electrically insulator material to dissipate heat away from a heat-generating electronic component of a computing device while electrically insulating the electronic component. The thermally conductive composition is malleable to target placement of the thermally conductive material on the electrically insulator material such that the thermally conductive composition is in thermal communication with a targeted area of the electronic component over which the electrically insulator material is positioned for targeted heat dissipation of the electronic component. Apparatus and systems including one or more of the thermal spreaders for targeted heat dissipation of one or more electronic components included therein are also disclosed.

One embodiment provides a method, including: capturing, using at least one camera sensor coupled to an information handling device, an image of a location; identifying, based upon analysis of the captured image, at least one user position in the location; determining, using a processor, whether a beamforming setting for a microphone array is optimized for the at least one user position; and adjusting, responsive to determining that the beamforming setting for the microphone array is not optimized for the at least one user position, the beamforming setting to an optimized beamforming setting. Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for an adhesive including an activated portion and an unactivated portion. The adhesive is interposed between and binds the first substrate to a second substrate. The unactivated portion includes moisture, and the activated portion is activated to adhere in response to the removal of moisture. Similarly, the unactivated portion of the adhesive may be activated in response to the removal of moisture, removal of air, applying radiation, heating, and/or catalyzing a functional group.

One embodiment provides an information handling device, including: an electronic component; and a tape strip comprising: a top surface; and a bottom surface; wherein each of the top surface and the bottom surface comprise alternating sections of adhesive areas and non-adhesive areas; wherein the electronic component is adhered to the top surface of the tape strip via an adhesive connection between the adhesive areas located on the top surface of the tape strip and a bottom surface of the electronic component and wherein the tape strip is adhered to the information handling device via another adhesive connection between the adhesive areas. An electronic device is provided that includes a substrate for receiving communication circuitry, and an antenna coupled to the substrate and configured to provide a signal to the communication circuitry. The electronic device also includes one or more processors, and a data storage device having executable instructions accessible by the one or more processors. Responsive to execution of the instructions, the one or more processors are configured to monitor the antenna or the communication circuitry to detect the signal, and prompt a communication related to the antenna in response to not detecting the signal or detecting a degraded signal.
