A snow plow apparatus including at least one pivotable plow wing that is capable of removing snow or debris adjacent to a vehicle. The pivotable plow wing is operable to deploy from a stowed configuration behind the vehicle to a deployed configuration where the plow wing substantially extends beyond a side of the vehicle and is in contact with a surface to be plowed to remove snow adjacent to the footprint of the vehicle. Once deployed, the pivotable wing is configurable to direct snow or debris away from or toward the vehicle by adjusting the angle of the plow wing relative to the direction of travel of the vehicle. The snow plow apparatus includes powered actuators and an electronic control unit that coordinate to operate the snow plow apparatus without the need for an operator to manually deploy, stow, or position the snow plow apparatus.

A concrete screeding device for screeding uncured concrete placed at a support surface includes a screed head having a floating platform, a grade setting device and a vibrating member. The screed head is configured to be positioned at a start of a screeding pass and placed at a surface of placed uncured concrete. A screed moving device is operable to pull the screed head along the surface of the placed uncured concrete. While the screed head is pulled along the surface of the placed uncured concrete and fully supported at the surface of the placed uncured concrete, the floating platform floats on the surface of the placed uncured concrete and the grade setting device adjusts relative to the floating platform to establish a graded surface of the placed uncured concrete at which the vibrating member will move over and along.

A suspension system for a vehicle includes an extendable and retractable actuator disposed at each side of a frame of the vehicle and pivotally attached at one end to a vehicle bracket and at the other end to a suspension bracket. The suspension bracket includes an actuator portion, an axle portion and a suspension arm, with the actuator portion and the suspension arm pivotable relative to an axis of the axle portion. When the actuator is extended or retracted, the actuator portion pivots about the axis of the axle portion and imparts pivotal movement of a suspension arm about the axis to adjust a height of the frame of the vehicle. The actuator includes an elastomeric element disposed between an outer end of a slide rod and an outer end of a ram rod, with the slide rod movable to absorb sudden movements of the frame or wheel.

A concrete screeding device for screeding uncured concrete placed at a support surface includes a base structure, a rotating base rotatably mounted at the base structure and rotatable relative to the base structure about a first axis of rotation via a first rotating device, an articulating boom comprising multiple boom sections that are pivotable about respective pivot axes via respective actuators. A screed head is rotatably mounted at a distal end of the articulating boom and is rotatable about a second axis of rotation via a second rotating device. With the base structure positioned at the support surface, and with uncured concrete placed at the region, and responsive to a control input, the first rotating device, the actuators and the second rotating device cooperatively operate to move the screed head through multiple screeding passes over and along the uncured concrete to screed the uncured concrete placed at the region.

A utility trailer with a movable bed floor includes a trailer frame supported by a plurality of wheel assemblies. A bed panel is coupled with the trailer frame and defines an upper support surface. A live-bed flexible member spans the length and width of the upper support surface. A load chain is coupled between forward and rearward ends of the live-bed flexible member and span the length of the bed panel below the bed panel. A drive system is supported by the trailer frame. The drive system has a sprocket engaged with the load chain and is operable to drive the live-bed flexible member in forward and rearward directions over the upper support surface for loading and unloading items from the utility trailer.

A concrete screeding device for screeding uncured concrete placed at a support surface includes a screed head having a grade setting device and a vibrating member, and an extendable and retractable boom. A base end of the boom is attached at a base structure and the screed head is supportable at a distal end of the boom. The boom is extendable so as to position the screed head at a distance of at least 20 feet from the base structure, and the screed head is movable between its extended location and the base structure to screed the concrete placed at the support surface.

A cargo carrier trailer for movably supporting cargo includes a frame configured to support cargo at the cargo carrier trailer and at least two wheels at each side of the frame. Each of the wheels is rotatably mounted to a respective support arm. The support arms are pivotally mounted to a carriage assembly that is repositionable fore and aft along the frame of the cargo carrier. The support arms are pivotable relative to the carriage assembly and frame to adjust the height and tilt of the frame relative to a support surface. The cargo carrier trailer is readily adapted to position the frame at a lower position for road applications and a raised position for uneven terrain applications. The cargo carrier trailer is adapted to couple to a tow vehicle via a fifth wheel hitch.

A concrete finishing apparatus for smoothing and leveling partially set-up concrete at a support surface includes a frame portion, a first concrete working member and a second concrete working member disposed at the frame portion. The first concrete working member is rotatable about a first axis of rotation that is generally vertical when the first concrete working member is supported at a generally horizontal support surface. The second concrete working member is rotatable about a second axis of rotation that is generally vertical when the second concrete working member is supported at a generally horizontal support surface. The first and second concrete working members engage the partially set-up concrete surface at the support surface and rotate about the first and second axes of rotation to process the concrete surface.

A soft landing control system for a screeding device is operable to automatically lower a vibrating member relative to a grade setting device after the grade setting device is lowered to the desired grade. The control may be operable to delay lowering the vibrating member relative to the grade setting device at least until the control receives an input indicative of at least a portion of the screed head assembly being moved to a position generally over a newly placed concrete area.

Apparatus and method for improving the control of a concrete screed head assembly

A cargo carrier for movably supporting cargo includes a frame configured to support cargo at the cargo carrier and at least two wheels at each side of the frame. Each of the wheels is rotatably mounted to a respective support arm. The support arms are pivotally mounted to respective sides of the frame and are pivotable relative to the frame to adjust at least one of a height and tilt of the frame relative to a support surface. The cargo carrier is readily adapted to position the frame at a lower position for road applications and a raised position for uneven terrain applications. The cargo carrier may include a deck that is movably mounted to the frame and is longitudinally movable along the frame.

A wheeled screeding device includes a wheeled support having a frame portion supported by at least one wheel, with the at least one wheel defining an axis of rotation. A screed head is mounted to the frame portion and is balanced such that the screed head is at least partially supportable on an uncured concrete surface. The screed head is adapted to impart a force onto the uncured concrete surface. An adjustment device may be operable to adjust a balance of the wheeled support about the axis of rotation to adjust the force imparted by the screed head. The screed head may be pivotable about an axis generally normal to the axis of rotation of the wheel and relative to the at least one wheel to adjust an angle of the screed head relative to the axis of rotation of the wheel.

Apparatus for screeding uncured concrete surfaces

A concrete finishing apparatus and method for smoothing and flattening partially set-up concrete to a close-tolerance surface includes a movable unit that is movable and supported at a partially set-up concrete surface and at least one rotatable ring finishing member mounted to the movable unit. The rotatable ring finishing member is positioned at the concrete surface and rotatable to engage and finish the surface of the partially set-up concrete to a higher quality, closer-tolerance flat and level concrete floor surface. The apparatus may include a pair of rotatable ring finishing members that may be rotatable in opposite directions to enhance the floating and finishing processes and to transport any cement paste, sand, small aggregate, or concrete mix residue forward with the rotatable ring finishing members working surfaces to cut high areas and fill in any low areas as the concrete finishing apparatus moves over the partially set-up concrete.

A soft landing control system for a screeding device is operable to automatically lower a vibrating member relative to a grade setting device after the grade setting device is lowered to the desired grade. The control may be operable to delay lowering the vibrating member relative to the grade setting device at least until the control receives an input indicative of at least a portion of the screed head assembly being moved to a position generally over a newly placed concrete area. Optionally, the control may delay lowering of the vibrating member relative to the grade setting device until a period of time has elapsed after an activating event. Optionally, the control may automatically stop vibration of the vibrating member when the screed head assembly is not moving in the screeding direction and may automatically vibrate the vibrating member when the screed head assembly moves in the screeding direction.

Apparatus and method for improving control of a concrete screed head assembly

A wheeled screeding apparatus includes a vibrating member adjustably mounted at an end of a frame portion of a wheeled support, with the vibrating member at least partially supporting the end of the frame portion. The vibrating member is generally vertically adjustable relative to the frame portion to adjust a level of the vibrating member relative to the wheeled support. A level control is operable to automatically adjust the vibrating member relative to the frame portion in response to an output of a level sensor, with the level control automatically adjusting the vibrating member relative to the frame portion to substantially maintain the frame portion at a desired orientation relative to horizontal as the screeding device is moved over and through the uncured concrete in a screeding direction.

A screeding device for screeding a concrete surface includes a support member, a screed head assembly mounted to the support member, and a control. The screed head assembly includes a grade setting device and a vibrating member, and is selectively movable in a screeding direction over and along the concrete surface by the support member. The vibrating member is vibratable to screed the concrete surface as the screed head assembly is moved in the screeding direction over and along the concrete surface. The control is operable to automatically stop vibration of the vibrating member when the support member is not moving the screed head assembly in the screeding direction and to automatically vibrate the vibrating member when the support member moves the screed head assembly in the screeding direction.
