Systems and methods for generating incentive offers for road use are provider. Incentive offers may be generated by a service provider server. The incentive offers may be generated identifying, by the computer having at least one processor, at least one use-condition associated with a transit point based at least in part on historical transit data. The generating the incentive offers may include generating one or more offers for a plurality of toll collections passes configured to enable the at least one use-condition associated with the transit point. Further, the method may provide for facilitating a distribution for the one or more incentive offers to a use group.

Systems and methods for generation of incentive offers for on-road users

Techniques are directed to user profiles for viewing devices. A user profile storing one or more defined parameters may be received. The one or more defined parameters may represent viewing information. Descriptive information about the media information to be viewed on the viewing device may be received. The present disclosure relates to computer-implemented methods and systems for intelligent route planning. An example method may include receiving, by a computation system comprising one or more processors, one or more tasks. The one or more tasks may be associated with one or more locations. The method may further include storing, by the computation system, the one or more tasks. The method may further include receiving, by the computation system, current location information associated with a user. The method may further include generating, by the computation system, based upon the one or more tasks and the current location information, one or more notifications associated with at least one task for presentation to the user.

A system and method for electronically tagging items for use in controlling electrical devices are disclosed. A particular embodiment includes: a controller; a tag reader interface in data communication with the controller, the tag reader interface being configured to receive item information read from an electronically readable tag attached to an item placed in an electrical device; a display device driver in data communication with the controller for driving the display of operational messages for a user/operator of the electrical device, the operational messages being based on the item information; and an appliance interface in data communication with the controller for receiving control commands from the controller and for issuing corresponding control signals for controlling the electrical device, the control commands being based on the item information.

System and method for electronically tagging items for use in controlling electrical devices

A system configured to display autostereoscopic video (AV) may determine a depth setting for displaying the AV based on at least one of user parameters or device parameters, and may proceed to display the AV on a display based on the depth setting. In one embodiment the system may try to obtain user parameters before relying on device parameters. User parameters may be available from user profiles. For example, facial recognition may be used to determine if a user profile exists for a user. If a user profile is determined not to exist for the user, then the system may sense a distance from the display to the viewer, and may proceed to determine the depth setting based on the distance and device characteristics. Device characteristics may identify the manufacturer/model of the system, the type/size of display on which the AV will be viewed, the abilities of the system, etc.

Techniques related to no-reference image and video quality evaluation are discussed. Such techniques may include generating, for a still image or video frame, features including a natural scene statistics based feature and an image quality based feature and determining an image evaluation indicator associated with the still image or video frame based on a mapping of the generated features to the image evaluation indicator.

Techniques to improve viewing comfort for three-dimensional (3D) content are described. Techniques to improve viewing comfort for three-dimensional content

Techniques may be used to authenticate a user to a computing device using their skin tone. A color sample may be received while a computing device remains in a power saving state. A user may be authenticated when the color sample matches a skin tone record. The computing device may be placed in an active state when the user is authenticated. Techniques for skin tone activation

Embodiments of the present invention blend frames over a specified temporal window to produce a smooth appearance at a reduced frame rate. As the window moves further or closer to the viewer, motion blur may be accomplished by temporal averaging. In particular, the temporal average is used to blend image information for a predefined/brief interval before and after the time of the output frame, retaining all of the image information, but in a slightly blurred form. After the relevant image information is retained, frames may be displayed at a reduced output rate while retaining sufficient information to reproduce a smoothly moving animation sequence.
