A computer-implemented system for selecting a workflow path of a project is provided. The system includes an initial phase, an evaluation phase, a completion phase, and a criteria engine. The evaluation phase of the project includes a plurality of workflow paths for the project based on criteria of the project. The criteria engine is operable to evaluate project criteria of the project at one or more steps in the evaluation phase and route the project to at least another step in the evaluation phase based on the project criteria.

A computer-implemented system for managing contracts for projects is provided. The system consists of a data store and an analysis component. The data store can maintain information related to a project including an original contract defining at least some aspects of the project. The data store can also maintain information for a plurality of interim contracts that include a change to the original contract. The information for the plurality of interim contracts can include resource information, date information, financial information, and variance information. The variance information is related to the change between one of the interim contracts and the original contract. The analysis component identifies the variance between the original contract and one or more of the interim contracts.

A method for project development within an enterprise. The method can consist of gathering project related information from different sources and using the information to create reports. The reports can include information from more than one source. The information and the reports can be displayed for assessment in a graphical user interface providing access to a set of sub-graphical user interfaces. An end of a phase of the project development process can be determined and, upon the completion of a previous phase, an individual with responsibility for a next phase can be notified by automatically sending a message to the individual, informing the individual that the next phase can begin.

A method and system for assigning a role within an enterprise. The method and system can include a requester selecting a role to which he wishes to be assigned, selecting an administrator authorized to grant the selected role, and submitting a request for the selected role to the selected administrator. The administrator can then approve or deny the request. These actions can be done in a web-based computer program. The selection of the role or the administrator can be made from a list of one or more roles or administrators available to the requester. The submittal of the request can be done by the interaction of the web-based computer program with an e-mail program. Records of the submittal of the request and of the approval or denial of the request can be maintained in an archive data store coupled to the web-based computer program.

Web-based system and method for user role assignment in an enterprise

The present invention discloses a message logging framework comprising a log object created by a destination log class extending a log base class and the log base class implementing a log interface. The log base class comprises a method for formatting a message and the destination log class comprises a method to log the formatted message to a destination log. In a preferred embodiment, the log base class further comprises a method for filtering the message by comparing a severity attribute of the message to a filter severity criterion. The present invention also discloses a message logging framework comprising a group log object created by a group log class extending a log collection class and implementing a log interface. The group log class comprises a method to log the message to a plurality of destination logs. The present invention further discloses a method for logging a message comprising forming a destination log object by a destination log class extending a log base class and the log base class implementing a log interface. A message is formatted, and the formatted message is logged to a destination log via the destination log object. In a preferred embodiment, the logging method further comprises filtering the message by comparing a severity attribute of the message to a filter severity criterion. The present invention also discloses a method for logging a message comprising forming a group log object by a group log class extending a log collection class and implementing a log interface. The message is logged to a plurality of destination logs via the group log object.
