A handheld forcible entry device includes a tubular housing. An input drive shaft is rotationally assembled to the housing, wherein the input shaft rotates about an axis perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the housing. A helical pressure applicating lead screw is rotationally assembled to the housing, wherein the lead screw rotates about an axis parallel to the housing longitudinal axis. The input shaft and lead screw are rotationally synchronized by a bevel gear set. A pressure applicator is threadably engaged with a helical threaded segment integrated in the lead screw. Rotation of the threading advances or retracts the pressure applicator from a stationary wedge plate. The separation of the pressure applicator and the stationary wedge plate separates a locked member from the associated frame, thus forcibly opening the locked member. The input shaft can be operated using a manually applied rotation or power applied rotation.

Powered hand-held forcible entry device

A mechanical hand held door opener device, light in weight and operable in any orientation including being inverted, for generating substantial door-opening force with a minimum effort from a user. When the user rotates the handle, he or she activates the unit by moving the shaft that interlocks with the first and second bevel gears. Since the second gear is fastened to the central lead screw, its rotation causes the rotation of the screw. The rotation of the screw then advances or retracts, depending on the clockwise or anti-clockwise rotation; and the inner platform and the four columns attached to the inner platform moves inwardly or outwardly of the outer platform.

An integrally molded glide cover has a top and a base that interlock together to surround and encapsulate the lower portion of an existing furniture glide. A rim protrudes downwardly from the bottom of the base and surrounds a recessed bottom surface for receiving an insert that is adapted for sliding on floors without damaging the floor surface. A hinge allows the base to close over the bottom of the glide and into direct alignment with locking prongs on the top for interlocked attachment of the base to the top using one hand and no tools. When interlocked, the top and base provide a tamper-proof permanent attachment that presents a low profile appearance closely resembling the exterior configuration of the encapsulated lower glide portion.

Furniture glide cover

A rapid action bullet reloading device for use in conjunction with any firearm utilizing a removable magazine is operable by either hand of the user with minimal effort. The device includes a sleeve, defining a main body, a lever hinged to the sleeve and a cam member operatively engaged with the lever. The sleeve is structured and disposed to receive the magazine in a releasably locked and registered position for the bullet reloading operation. The device is operated by squeezing the lever towards the sleeve body with one hand which rotates the cam member about a cam axis in a highly leveraged action. Rotation of the cam causes an integral finger extending from the cam member to engage and depress a properly positioned bullet into the magazine. A spring urges the cam member back to the relaxed position upon each release of the lever, whereupon a next successive bullet can be placed in registered position for loading. In several embodiments, a hood is hingedly fitted to the top end of the sleeve body and includes an axial bore, defining a loading chamber, through which the bullets are inserted, using the other hand to guide each bullet into the registered loading position.

A modular roll-out floor for use as a temporary, removable cover over an ice surface, the floor includes a plurality of interconnected and disconnectable treads. Each tread is made of three layers: a top portion is made of high impact plastic with an anti-slip surface on a honeycomb structural design for strength and rigidity, an intermediate portion designed as an insulating thermal barrier layer and a lower portion, which is also made of high impact plastic with a honeycomb structural design for strength and rigidity. The three portions are connected to each other. The treads may be connected to other treads to form a floor of any size. Living hinges on each tread allow the floor to be easily rolled up and stored.

Modular roll-out portable floor for ice surfaces

A three-piece knife having a replacable, retractable cutting blade, which may be locked either in the operating or deployed position, or in a retracted or safety position, by using a single digit on one hand, is described. Safety of hospital personnel and medical waste-disposal personnel is achieved in the surgical scalpel embodiment of the three-piece knife without loss of function or convenience of the scalpel.

A surgical scalpel having a replacable, retractable cutting blade which may be locked in the operating or deployed position using a single digit on one hand is described. Safety of hospital personnel and medical waste disposal personnel is achieved without loss of function or convenience of the scalpel.
