This disclosure relates to a system and method for pulse generation. A system in accordance with the present disclosure may include a power dissipating element configured to receive power from a power source. At least one of the power source and the power dissipating element may be configured to generate a first signal. The system may further include a measuring instrument in communication with the power source. The measuring instrument may be configured to measure the first signal and to provide an input corresponding to a measured signal to a duty cycle limiter. The system may also include a pulse controller operatively connected to the power source. The pulse controller may be configured to control a duty cycle of the first signal and to receive a second signal from the duty cycle limiter. The pulse controller may be configured to disable at least one of the power source and the power dissipating element if the duty cycle limiter has determined that a maximum condition has been exceeded. Other embodiments are also within the scope of the present disclosure.

System and method for thermal limit control

The present disclosure relates to a system and method for mapping system transfer functions. Accordingly, some operations may include receiving a first intermediate signal that is at least partially based upon a first reference signal. A second intermediate signal is received that is at least partially based upon a second reference signal. An output signal is generated that is based upon the difference between the first intermediate signal and the second intermediate signal. A first anticipated differential change in the output signal is determined, the first anticipated differential change to occur based upon a transition in the first reference signal. A second anticipated differential change in the output signal is determined, the second anticipated differential change to occur based upon a transition in the second reference signal. Numerous other operations are also within the scope of the present disclosure.

System and method for mapping system transfer functions

A mixed signal integrated circuit testing system includes a system controller connected to a test head for controlling the testing operations of the mixed signal integrated circuit testing system. The test head is adapted to support a wide combination of both the analog and digital circuit testing modules. A DUT board, typically configured for a specific IC or family of ICs, is used to connect the circuit testing modules to the IC. The DUT board is connected to a DUT board interface that includes an analog DUT board interface adapter and a digital DUT board interface adapter. The digital DUT board interface adapter is connected directly to the digital circuit testing modules. The analog DUT board interface adapter is connected to a system configuration module that provides analog loading and conditioning circuitry as well as other circuitry that can be customized for testing specific ICs.

Mixed signal device under test board interface

A test system for testing at least one electrical component includes a test head having a mounting assembly for removably attaching the electrical component, and a plurality of test ports for electrically coupling to the electrical component. The test system further includes a voltage and current source located within the test head. The voltage and current source is constructed and arranged so as to provide at least one electrical output, through an interface assembly, to the electrical component. The electrical output has a voltage magnitude within a predetermined voltage range and has a current magnitude within a predetermined current range. The voltage and current source further analyzes the electrical output so as to detect and measure one or more changes to the electrical output caused by the electrical component. The voltage and current source also receives and analyzes a plurality of response signals through the interface assembly from the signal ports of the electrical component. The electrical output is characterized by a plurality of transitions and a predetermined repetition rate between consecutive the transitions.
