The invention is concerned with improvements in the technical field of pipettes. For this purpose, a pipette () with a base body () and a handle () is proposed, wherein a thermal insulation () is formed or arranged between the handle () and the base body () of the pipette () (see FIG.).

In order for the handling of a pipette to be improved, the pipettes () according to the invention and a method according to the invention for setting a volume of a pipette to be pipetted are proposed. In the case of the pipette () it is provided that the activation element () for activating the ejection mechanism () for ejecting a pipette tip forms a conduit () for the pipetting button (). On account thereof, an activation face () of the activation element () is enlarged in such a manner that the handling of the ejection mechanism () of the pipette () is in particular simplified and is particularly comfortable. It is furthermore also proposed that the activation element () is coupled to the volume adjustment mechanism () of the pipette, and the adjustment of the volume to be pipetted by the pipette () is performed with the aid of a movement of the activation element ()(FIG.).

Pipette and method for adjusting a volume of a pipette to be pipetted

For simplified dismantling of manual metering devices (), the manual metering device () proposed is one which comprises the component carrier (). This component carrier () can be pushed into its use position in the housing () through the insertion opening () present in the housing (). The releasable connection (), which can be released in particular from the outside, is provided for the releasable fastening of the component carrier () in its use position within the housing ().

Manual metering device

In order for it to be possible for the user of a manual metering apparatus () to be provided with different options for adjusting a manual metering apparatus (), in particular a pipette, the manual metering apparatus () according to the invention is proposed, in the case of which the operating element () for operating the volume adjusting mechanism () of the manual metering apparatus () is constructed in two pieces and comprises a display adjusting element () which is connected to the volume display () of the manual metering apparatus (), and the volume adjusting element () which is connected to the volume adjusting mechanism () of the manual metering apparatus (). The display adjusting element () and the volume adjusting element () are connected to one another via the releasable coupling (), with the result that a volume adjustment leads to a corresponding adjustment of the volume display and vice versa, as long as the coupling () is closed. If the coupling () is released, the display adjusting element () and the volume adjusting element () can be adjusted or actuated independently from one another in order to adjust the manual metering apparatus () (FIG.).

In order to facilitate disassembly of the fluid dispensing unit (), the latter has the covering cap () with which at least one sealing means () located in the head part () of the fluid dispensing unit () can be fixed in its use position. In order to release the covering cap () from the head part (), said covering cap is rotatable relative to the head part (). A releasable snap connection () is provided between the covering cap () and the head part (), said snap connection being formed by at least one latching projection () and/or at least one latching depression (), wherein at least one oblique surface () is formed on the latching projection () and/or on the latching depression (), said surface being oriented in such a manner that the snap connection () can be released by rotation of the covering cap () relative to the head part () (FIG.).

The manual dosing device () comprises the main body () that can be screwed to the fluid discharge unit (), the detent connection () being provided alongside the screw connection () for removably connecting the main body () to the fluid discharge unit (), which detent connection is locked by connecting the main body () and the fluid discharge unit () together (cf. FIG.).

In order to be able to adapt a manual dosing device (), in particular a pipette (), to differently sized hand dimensions, the manual dosing device () at whose main body () at least one grip () or exchangeable grip is releasable, fastenable or fastened is proposed. Adaptation of the manual dosing device () to users having different hand sizes can be performed by removing the grip () or by changing the grip () and replacing the grip () with a grip () having different dimensions (FIG.).
