Aspects relate to exchanging beam-related information for a repeater device. A network access node may configure a repeater device to transmit multiple synchronization signal blocks using different beams. The network access node may determine the number of beams that the repeater device can use for its operations. A repeater device may indicate how many beams the repeater device supports, how many antenna arrays it has, and a mapping of beam indices to antenna array indices. A repeater device may indicate which beam pairs cannot be used for simultaneous transmission and/or reception and/or which beam groups can be used for simultaneous transmission and/or reception. A network access node may determine which beam pairs the repeater device cannot use for simultaneous transmission and/or reception and/or which beam groups the repeater device can use for simultaneous transmission and/or reception based on signal measurements and/or beam configuration feedback from the repeater device.

Information for wireless communication repeater device

Techniques for determining power relaxation values are disclosed. The power relaxation values may be determined according to an ending resource block (RB) and a number of RBs in a contiguous allocation. In one aspect, the power relaxation values are arranged into regions based, at least in part, on transmission channel bandwidths and the distance from a protected adjacent channel. A user equipment (UE) can determine a power relaxation value for its current allocation using the ending RB index and contiguous RB length and can adjust its transmission power accordingly. Evolved NodeBs may estimate the power relaxation that a particular UE has selected in order to more accurately determine the transmit power available to the UE. Using the more accurate estimate of transmit power, the eNB may schedule the UE for uplink transmissions accordingly.

Maximum power reduction for interference control in adjacent channels

Exemplary embodiments are directed to reducing jamming caused by radiated fields generated by wireless power transmitters. Exemplary embodiments include detecting a jamming condition of a wireless power receiving device resulting from a radiated field from a wireless power transmitter of a charging device. Such embodiments include synchronizing the wireless power coupling with communication of the wireless power receiving device. Synchronizing wireless power coupling may include wireless power coupling at a first level when the wireless power receiving device is expected to receive a signal on a communication channel. Synchronizing wireless power coupling may further include coupling at a higher rate when the wireless power receiving device is not expected to receive a signal on the communication channel.

A method of wireless communication includes determining spectral positions of intermodulation distortion products for a multi-cluster transmission. The method also includes mapping the spectral positions to corresponding spectral regions. The method further includes determining a maximum power reduction value of the multi-cluster transmission based on the corresponding spectral regions.

A modem is described. The modem includes a transmitter. The transmitter includes a digital pre-distortion module and a power amplifier. The modem also includes one or more selected shared receivers. Exemplary embodiments of the invention include a transmitter system configured to predistort an input signal to generate a target output signal. An exemplary transmitter system includes a forward path including a predistortion device coupled with an amplifier, the forward path configured for predistorting an input signal to the predistortion device in response to a phase error compensation signal and an amplitude error compensation signal in order to generate a desired output signal for the output signal of the amplifier, and a feedback path including a processor configured for generating the phase error compensation signal and the amplitude error compensation signal based on a comparison of the input signal with phase and amplitude information of the output signal of the amplifier, wherein the phase and amplitude information of the amplifier are transmitted to the processor on a single path of the feedback path. Other methods and apparatuses are also presented herein.

A method of predistorting a waveform for input to an amplifier includes receiving information associated with the waveform, the information comprising a modulation configuration of the waveform. The method further includes predicting a chain model for the waveform based on the modulation configuration. In addition, the method includes predistorting the waveform for input to the amplifier, based on the chain model, an ideal waveform, and target output power. An apparatus is also provided for predistorting a waveform for input to an amplifier.
