Provided are methods and systems for combining hydrogen supply and fuel cell processes for increased efficiency of electricity generation. The method may include decomposing methane to produce at least hydrogen, introducing at least a portion of the hydrogen to a fuel cell to generate at least electricity and heat, and capturing at least a portion of the heat from the fuel cell to reduce an electricity requirement for the methane decomposition. The system may include a methane preheater, a reaction system, a hydrogen storage system, a hydrogen fuel cell, and a heat recovery unit. The reaction system may comprise one or more reaction chambers containing a liquid base fluid, carrier droplets and a catalyst, wherein the reaction system is configured to decompose methane. The heat recovery unit may be configured to supply waste heat from the hydrogen fuel cell to the methane preheater.

Methods and compositions for enhancing integrity and thermal conductivity of wellbores in geothermal operations

Methods and fluids for consolidating unconsolidated particulates. An example method introduces a furfuryl alcohol-based resin treatment fluid into a wellbore; wherein the furfuryl alcohol-based resin treatment fluid is a furfuryl alcohol-based resin and a diluent. The method contacts the unconsolidated particulates within the wellbore with the furfuryl alcohol-based resin treatment fluid to produce resin-contacted unconsolidated particulates. The method further includes coating at least a portion of the wellbore tubing with a silicate film produced from the reaction of the metal silicate with the metal ions of the wellbore tubing and then fracturing the subterranean formation.

A method comprising: isolating a perforated zone in a wellbore; pumping into the perforated zone a pad fluid above a fracture gradient of a formation penetrated by the wellbore to create a plurality of fractures within the formation; pumping into the perforated zone a fracturing fluid above the fracture gradient; pumping into the perforated zone a diverting fluid below the fracture gradient; and repeating the step of pumping into the perforated zone the fracturing fluid after the step of pumping into the perforated zone the diverting fluid.

Methods of ensuring and enhancing conductivity in micro-fractures

The disclosure provides a method and system for extracting carbon dioxide from an exhaust gas. The method includes lowering a temperature of an exhaust gas using a heat exchanger, lowering a concentration of a particulate matter within the lowered temperature exhaust gas, and passing the lowered particulate concentration and lowered temperature exhaust gas through one or more membrane modules to produce a membrane module permeate flow that contains a higher concentration of carbon dioxide compared to a concentration of carbon dioxide in the lowered particulate concentration and lowered temperature exhaust gas. Further, the system includes a heat exchanger fluidly coupled to a particulate filter that is configured to lower a concentration of the particulate matter within the exhaust gas, and one or more membrane modules fluidly coupled to the particulate filter and configured to produce the membrane module permeate flow.
