A roof structure for covering a roof substrate includes a waterproof membrane having a layer of fleece material disposed on a first side thereof. The roof structure also includes a moisture curing, substantially non-volatile polyether based adhesive disposed on at least a portion of the first side of the waterproof membrane. At least some of the adhesive is disposed within the fleece material to permit bonding of the waterproof membrane to a roof substrate of a low slope roof of a building structure.

Roofing system and method

A moisture-curable adhesive composition that may be formulated to be free of volatile organic compounds, or substantially free of volatile organic compounds which is safe for chronic exposure, resistant to combustion, and provides a high peel strength useful for securing a rubber membrane material to a rigid roof deck includes a polymer having silicon-containing hydrolyzable terminal groups, a phenolic resin, and a non-polymeric silicon-containing hydrolyzable compound, wherein the ratio of the amount of polymer having silicon-containing hydrolyzable terminal groups by weight to the amount of phenolic resin by weight is greater than 2:1.

Moisture-curable adhesive composition

A low cost moisture curable sealer and adhesive composition containing a polymer having reactive silyl groups and a bituminous material and having many advantages over conventional moisture cure sealer compositions, including greater elastomeric properties, improved flexibility and pliability, lower durometer, faster and deeper cure, low temperature cure. The composition is also free of carcinogens such as coal tar, toxic isocyanates, and volatile solvents.

Moisture curable sealer and adhesive composition

A one-part pourable sealant that is thermosetting, non-shrinking, and capable of quickly curing in a closed cavity to a depth of at least two inches includes a silyl-terminated polymer, a hygroscopic plasticizer present in an amount that is effective to promote rapid and deep curing, and a catalyst for promoting curing of the silyl-terminated polymer. The sealer composition is useful in a method of forming a seal around a roof penetration. The method includes dispensing the sealer composition into a pitch pocket formed around a roof penetration and allowing the sealer composition dispensed into the pitch pocket to cure by exposure to moisture in the air.

Pitch pocket and sealant

A structural termination system includes an elongated structural member having a generally horizontal lower web defining a lower surface shaped to fit closely along the upper surface of a building. Moisture curable adhesive is disposed on the lower surface, and extending substantially uninterrupted along the entire length of the structural member to form a seal along the entire structural member when installed on an upper surface of a building.

Structural termination system

A pitch pocket includes a multi-piece curb that has at least four quarter-circular corner elements, and at least four intermediate elements. Each of the curb elements has a base surface and similarly shaped lateral cross-sectional configuration with diagonal cut free ends. When the diagonal cut free ends are arranged abuttingly end-to-end, the elements define a continuous pocket with a generally quadrilateral plan shape. An adhesive is applied to the base surface and the free ends of each of the curb elements to secure the curb elements to each other and to the roof. A pourable sealant is cast within the pocket and forms a solid seal about the penetration in the roof. The curb elements are preferably made from a thermosetting polyurethane material.

Polyurethane pitch pocket

A pitch pocket for sealing a mechanical penetration of a roof includes a cementitious curb which defines a pocket having an upper edge, an inner surface and a base surface. An adhesive is applied to the base surface to secure the curb to the roof. A pourable, two-part urethane sealant is cast within the pocket to form a solid seal around the roof penetration with the curb.
