A new and improved tier sheet comprises a three-layer laminated extrusion comprising outer layers of a suitable polypropylene homopolymer, and an inner core layer comprising a suitable polypropylene copolymer blended with a suitable elastomer selected from the group comprising SANTOPRENE&#xae;, KRATON&#xae;; ethyl vinyl acetate (EVA), and a thermoplastic olefin (TPO). By effectively incorporating the elastomer into the inner core layer of the three-layer laminated extrusion, the tier sheet is provided with the requisite amount of softness, elasticity, and resiliency so as to not only permit the multiplicity of cans to, in effect, form sufficiently deep impressions or depressions within the upper and lower tier sheets as the different tiers or layers of tier sheets and cans are disposed upon the transportation pallet within the tiered array comprising the palletized load such that movement of the individual cans with respect to the upper and lower tier sheets will effectively be restricted and prevented but, in addition, the tier sheet can dimensionally recover whereby the depressions and impressions will effectively disappear so as to thereby enable each tier sheet to be readied for use with respect to supporting and restraining new or additional sets of cans in connection with the formation of subsequent palletized loads. Furthermore, the outer layers will not readily delaminate from the inner core layer, and still further, the extrusion process results in the fact that the edge portions of the three-layer laminate are effectively sealed such that the three-layer tier sheet laminate will not readily absorb moisture.

Tier sheet

A cargo load bracing bar comprises first, outer and second, inner telescoping tubular members, a housing attached to the outer tubular member, a pinion gear and actuating ratchet handle, having a spring-biased ratchet member mounted thereon, respectively rotatably and pivotally mounted upon the housing, and a gear rack attached at one end thereof to the inner tubular member while the opposite end of the gear rack is slidably disposed upon the outer tubular member. An angle bracket is mounted upon the housing, and a spring-biased pawl member is slidably disposed upon the gear rack and operatively associated with the angle bracket. The pawl member and the ratchet member are normally engaged with the pinion gear so as to achieve the ratcheting extension of the gear rack and the inner tubular member with respect to the outer tubular member. However, the ratchet member may be disengaged from the pinion gear so as to permit the ratchet handle to be moved to a collapsed position substantially parallel to the outer tubular member, and both the ratchet member and the pawl member may be disengaged from the pinion gear so as to permit the pinion gear to freely rotate, and the gear rack and inner tubular member to undergo free longitudinal movement, so as to permit the cargo load bracing bar to be rapidly extended or contracted.

Ratcheting cargo load bracing bar

A disposable liner for a pressure feed paint cup and a method for using such liner. A lid is removed from the paint cup and a disposable liner bag is inserted into the cup while an open end of the liner bag extends from the open cup end. The open liner bag end is folded over and protects the cup end and paint is poured into the liner bag. A disposable lid is placed over the open cup end and the open liner bag end is folded inwardly over the disposable lid. The paint cup lid is then attached to the paint cup, clamping the liner bag and disposable lid in place. As the paint cup lid is placed on the paint cup, a paint feed tube is pushed through an opening in the disposable lid. Optionally, a ring may be placed in a recess in the disposable lid to retain the folded liner bag end in place while the paint cup lid is attached to the paint cup. After painting, the liner and any remaining paint are disposed of.
