An electronic thermostat control system may include a control duty determination portion outputting PWM duty signal for controlling the coolant temperature according to a coolant temperature, a rising rate of the coolant temperature, an engine speed, a load and a vehicle speed, a driving portion applying a time condition to the PWM duty signal output by the control duty determination portion for controlling outputting interval, and a fault diagnosis portion diagnosing operations of the electronic thermostat by analyzing the signals output by the driving portion and changes of the coolant temperature.

An engine cooling system having an EGR cooler is disclosed. The system includes a cylinder head provided on a cylinder block, a coolant pump that pumps a coolant to a coolant inlet side of the cylinder block, an EGR cooler that is branched from a coolant line between the coolant pump and the cylinder block, and is provided in a circulation line through which a coolant is recirculated to an inlet of the coolant pump, and a coolant control valve unit that is provided in a coolant output side of the cylinder head to receive a coolant exhausted from the cylinder head and a coolant exhausted from the cylinder block and controls coolants distributed to coolant parts.

An engine having a multi flow rate control valve may include a valve, a valve housing and a driving unit. The valve may have a hollow pipe structure and coolant holes through which a coolant supplied to a space at a center portion of the valve is to be distributed and cooled outside of the valve. The valve housing may be coupled with the valve such that an inner side of the valve housing is capable of being in close contact with an outer side of the valve, and have coolant outlets formed at positions corresponding to the coolant holes. The driving unit may rotate the valve to selectively connect the respective coolant holes to the corresponding coolant outlets or close the coolant holes by bringing them in close contact with the inner side of the valve housing.
