A vehicle comprises an internal combustion engine, a battery, an alternator, a starter, configured to start the internal combustion engine, a charger, distinct from the battery, and an electrical energy storage system, connected to the starter and to the charger, and distinct from the battery. To allow the engine to be started in case of a battery failure, a method for operating the vehicle comprises: starting the internal combustion engine, measuring a state of charge of the battery, comparing the measured state of charge with a predetermined threshold value, if the measured state of charge is lower than the predetermined threshold value: charging the electrical energy storage system with the charger, then starting the internal combustion engine with the starter, by powering the starter with the electrical energy storage system, when restarting the internal combustion engine is required.

Method for operating a vehicle and vehicle operated by such a method

A computer system comprising processing circuitry configured to handle wheel slip a vehicle is provided. The vehicle comprises a first axle. The first axle comprises at least two wheels. Each of the at least two wheels of the first axle is drivable by at least two hydraulic motors. The processing circuitry is configured to obtain a slip condition of the vehicle. The processing circuitry is configured to, based on the obtained slip condition, trigger an adjustment of pressure and/or flow to be supplied to at least one of the at least two hydraulic motors in the vehicle. Triggering the adjustment comprises triggering an adjustment of pressure and/or flow between at least two hydraulic motors, and/or triggering adjustment of pressure and/or flow supplied by a source.

Handling wheel slip in a vehicle

A method for operating a main vehicle along a trajectory, the vehicle belonging to a fleet of vehicles, the main vehicle including a powertrain controlled by a control unit. To diminish the consumption of the vehicle, the method includes analyzing, by an external server, consumption data of each vehicles of the fleet of vehicles having previously travelled on said trajectory; based on the analyzed consumption data, identifying, by the external server, an improvable-consumption section of the trajectory; and providing to the control unit from the external server with instructions to restrict consumption of the powertrain on the improvable-consumption section.

The invention relates to a functionality limiting system () for a motorized vehicle () provided with a motion system, comprising: first sensor means () adapted to sense if the power is on and providing a first sensing signal; second sensor means (-) adapted to sense one or several operational parameters relative to at least one part of the vehicle () and providing a second sensing signal; deactivation means () adapted to verify if a deactivation condition is met and providing a deactivation signal; a control unit () in communication with the first and second sensor means (-) and the deactivation means (), the control unit () receiving said first and second sensing signals and said deactivation signal, the control unit () being adapted to control the speed and/or the power supplied by the motion system in response to said first and second sensing signals and said deactivation signal, in such a manner that said speed and/or said power is limited in an activated mode of the system and is not limited in a deactivated mode of the system.
