There is provided a system for wireless power transmission comprising at least one radio frequency transmitter configured to emit radio frequency waves, at least one radio frequency receiver remote from the at least one radio frequency transmitter, the at least one radio frequency receiver comprising at least one antenna configured to wirelessly receive the radio frequency waves from the at least one radio frequency transmitter, and at least one rectifier electrically coupled to the at least one antenna and configured to convert the radio frequency waves to direct current (DC) power, and at least one load electrically coupled to the at least one radio frequency receiver, the at least one load configured to receive from the at least one rectifier the DC power and to operate based thereon.
