Methods and systems for authenticating operations of an aircraft are disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the method may include: receiving, by an aircraft data gateway, a request for an operation of an aircraft from an operations portal; performing a first digital authentication of the request using first digital authentication information; performing a second digital authentication of the request using second digital authentication information, the second digital authentication information being distinct from the first digital authentication information; and executing the operation of the aircraft upon validating the first digital authentication and the second digital authentication.

Systems and methods for multi-factor digital authentication of aircraft operations

A method of monitoring network traffic of a connected vehicle. The method includes receiving network traffic information from a vehicle gateway, the network traffic information including malicious and/or benign information. The method also includes storing the network traffic information on a data server and periodically updating the network traffic information stored on the data server. The method further includes: pre-processing the network traffic information, the pre-processing the network traffic information including filtering and normalizing the network traffic information; generating a learning model based on the pre-processed network traffic information, the learning model being generated by an artificial intelligence learning; updating the learning model based on additional network traffic information, the additional network traffic information including real-time network data; in accordance with the updated learning model, detecting an anomaly event in the incoming network data; and generating a notification and/or blocking one or more packets associated with the incoming network data.

Systems and methods for cyber monitoring and alerting for connected aircraft

Secure subscription based vehicle data services are provided. In one embodiment, a device comprises: a non-volatile memory comprising an embedded public key (EPK) that comprises a public key of a public-private key pair associated with a data service system not onboard the vehicle; a protocol that initiates a communication session that includes a session validation sequence that causes a processor to transmit a session request message and validate an authenticity of a session reply request using the EPK; the protocol includes a session initiation sequence that causes the processor to: transmit an initiation request message to the data service system that includes a key derivation key, and apply the key derivation key to a key derivation function to generate a message authentication key. The processor authenticates uplink messages exchanged with a host data service using the message authentication key.
