Systems and methods are disclosed for an external vehicle wireless connection. Example methods may include: determining a condition associated with a vehicle; determining, based on the condition, a switching state between a first antenna external to the vehicle and a second antenna internal to the vehicle associated with the vehicle; transmitting, based on the switching state and via the first antenna, a first signal on a first frequency and on a first network or on a second network; and transmitting, based on the switching state and via the second antenna, a second signal on a second frequency on the first network.

Systems and methods for an external vehicle wireless connection

An electronic device may include a housing, processing circuitry carried by the housing, and at least one wireless transceiver carried by the housing and a NFC device carried by the housing. The electronic device may also include a display carried by the housing and having an internal surface within the housing and a display surface opposite the internal surface, and an NFC antenna mounted on and extending across at least a portion of the internal surface of the display, wherein the NFC antenna comprises a substrate and electrically conductive traces thereon defining a plurality of loops.

Electronic device with NFC antenna adjacent display and related methods

An electronic device may include a housing having a display opening therein, processing circuitry within the housing, and wireless transceiver circuitry within the housing and coupled to the processing circuitry. The electronic device may also include NFC transceiver circuitry within the housing and coupled to the processing circuitry, a display within the housing and coupled to the processing circuitry, the display having an external surface exposed through the display opening and having an internal surface within the housing, and an NFC antenna positioned within the housing behind and aligned with the internal surface of the display and coupled to the NFC transceiver circuitry.

The ground plane () is removed from PC-FJA () and is perpendicular to the plane of the &#x201c;J&#x201d; shape.

Proximity-coupled folded-J antenna

A low profile antenna system comprises a frame having front and side surfaces for enclosing a printed circuit board supporting a receiver, the front surface of the frame including a first conductive plate, an isolated portion thereof, which couples to the printed circuit board and forms a first portion of a loop antenna. A conductor is coupled to the printed circuit board and forms a second portion of the loop antenna. A second conductive plate is coupled to the frame and forms a rear surface of the frame to completely enclose the printed circuit board. The second conductive plate is capacitively coupled to the conductor thereby enhancing the sensitivity of the loop antenna.

An antenna system (308, 309, 310, 312, 314, 316, and 317) for a wrist carried selective call receiver (300) comprises at least first (312 and 314) and second (310) elements, coupled to each other and coupled to the selective call receiver to form a first single magnetic loop antenna (312, 308, 316, and 310) having a first physical orientation. At least one of the first and second elements comprises at least one second single magnetic loop antenna (312, 308, 316, 310, 317, 309, and 314) also coupled to the selective call receiver. The second single magnetic loop antenna has a second physical orientation different from the first physical orientation.
