System for sorting products comprising a number of combinations of an elongated carrying body and a pusher body, located one after another, which combinations are movable in a direction of movement following a path along which a number of sorting locations are provided, wherein the carrying bodies extend parallel to each other and perpendicular to the direction of movement and wherein the carrying bodies are configured for carrying the products to be sorted, a displacing device for moving the combinations in the direction of movement along the path, wherein each combination is further provided with a further displacing device comprising an electric motor for moving the pusher body in a sorting direction along the carrying body, the sorting direction extending perpendicularly to the direction of movement, for pushing a product carried by the carrying body off of the carrying body with the pusher body, and, amongst other, a plurality of controllers.

The system and method for sorting products include a device comprising a frame, carriers for products, pusher members which are displaceable along a carrier, guide means with a guiding member for guiding the pusher member in a conveying direction during transportation of the carriers in order to move it in a length direction of the carrier, for the purpose of laterally moving a product off the supporting surface at a discharge location, a presorting switch device with a presorting switch member in order, in an active presorting position, to move or keep the pusher member to or in a second transverse position, a switchable switch device with a switch member in order, in an active position, to move the pusher member in such a way that the guide member is subsequently guided by the guiding member.

Apparatus, system and method for sorting products

A sorting device for sorting products, comprising successive carrier units each provided with a load carrying platform having a front arcuate edge and a rear arcuate edge. The sorting device further conveys the load carrying platforms along a conveying path and includes an elongated pusher element for each load carrying platform for pushing a product to be sorted sideways off, using at least one pusher element, at a desired sorting location. The pusher elements each extend above a load carrying platform and are designed for joint transport with the load carrying platform. The sorting device further comprises two elongated passages in the load carrying platform, and drive means at least partially provided under the load carrying platforms for moving a pusher element sideways between two opposite lateral positions at a desired sorting location.

A method and device for conveying packages supplied from at least one supply unit, via a transfer unit, to a switch unit formed by a conveyor, pivotable about a horizontal axis and in which the packages are carried to a first discharge conveyor in a first position of the switch unit and to a second discharge conveyor arranged above the first discharge conveyor in a second position of the switch unit. The method and device detect the size and the identity of the packages, and control the transport of the packages by the supply unit and/or the transfer unit influenced by the detecting of the size of the packages. The spacing between packages delivered to the switch unit that are carried to the same discharge conveyor is smaller than the spacing between packages delivered to the switch unit that are carried to a second discharge conveyor.
