The present invention relates to a hair clipping device, comprising: &#x2014;a housing (); &#x2014;a cutting assembly () which is arranged on one end of said housing () and comprises a stationary blade element () with a circumferentially arranged toothed cutting edge () surrounding the stationary blade element () and a moveable blade element () with a circumferentially arranged second cutting edge () surrounding the moveable blade element (), wherein the stationary blade element () and the moveable blade element () are arranged substantially parallel to each other; and &#x2014;a motor () for driving a drive shaft () in a rotatory manner; wherein the drive shaft () is coupled to the moveable blade element () via an eccentric coupling mechanism () that translates a rotatory movement of the drive shaft () into an eccentric movement of the moveable blade element ().

The spray assembly for a droplet spray teeth cleaning system includes a guidance member at the end thereof. The spray assembly includes a nozzle through which a spray of liquid is directed to the teeth for cleaning. The guidance member is configured and mounted relative to the nozzle to provide a selected standoff distance between the nozzle and the teeth and includes a portion which is configured to fit in the interproximal space between adjacent teeth and gums, or against the frontal portions of the teeth, so that the user knows the location of the spray relative to the teeth.

A multi-switch () for an oral care appliance includes a switch housing () having a hollow chamber () therein, a button actuator () with at least two O-rings () around the periphery thereof, and inlet and outlet channels () connecting a source of compressed gas () with the housing chamber and the housing chamber with a mixing chamber (), respectively. A pump () moves fluid from a reservoir () to the mixing chamber. The O-rings are positioned so that as the button actuator is actuated and then released, the outlet is closed and the inlet is opened, allowing gas to move into the housing chamber. The pump is actuated, and then the inlet is closed and the outlet opens, allowing gas in the chamber to move to the mixing chamber to produce a stream of fluid droplets, which are directed out through a nozzle portion () of the appliance.

Multi-function switch for an oral care appliance

The invention relates to an iron having means for moistening fabric to be ironed. According to the invention, the moistening means comprise a device for generating foam and means for applying said generated foam to the fabric. For example, foam may be generated by means of a nozzle () having a first inlet () for a foaming liquid () and a second inlet () for supplying pressurized air to the nozzle so as to mix air with said liquid, thereby creating foam (). Applying foam to the fabric () can be realized by means of a doctor blade () to break up the foam.

The invention relates to a shaving apparatus comprising a first blade ( ) and a second blade ( ) having parallel cutting edges ( ) extending perpendicularly to a cutting direction X of the blades. The shaving apparatus performs a retractile action, so that a shaving result achieved by the apparatus is maintained for a long period of time.

An appliance for removing hairs growing from skin is provided with a clamping device and a cutting device cooperating therewith. The clamping device clamps the hairs to be removed and subsequently extracts them at least partly from the skin, whereupon the hairs extracted partly from the skin are cut through adjacent the skin by the cutting device. The hairs thus cut through return to below the surface of the skin, so that a smooth shaving result is achieved which remains intact during a considerable period. According to the invention, the appliance is provided with structure for adjusting an extraction distance over which the clamping device extracts the hairs from the skin before they are cut through by the cutting device. In a special embodiment, the structure is adjustable to a first mode in which the appliance purely has a shaving function and to a second mode in which the appliance purely has a depilation function.

A shaving apparatus is provided which has at least one cutting unit (3) comprising an external cutting member (4) and an internal cutting member (5) which is drivable relative thereto, which internal cutting member comprises at least one cutter rim (11), which external cutting member has at least one slot-shaped hair-entry aperture (15), a part of the cutter rim (11) constantly extending over an associated hair-entry aperture (15), and each point (A) of the cutter rim (11) performing a movement in accordance with a closed curve, the hair-entry aperture (15) being passed at least once when the closed curve is traversed one time. Preferably, both the cutter rim (11) and the slot-shaped hair-entry aperture (15) are circular and the movement of the cutter rim is an eccentric circular movement.

Shaving apparatus

A gripper having at least two gripper arms (1, 3) which are arranged mirror-symmetrically around a center line (5) and a first end (7, 9) of which follows approximately a straight line (19) which is perpendicular to the center line (5), while the second end (21, 23) is displaceable along a circular track (33, 35). A gripper arm (1, 3) is supported between the first end (7, 9) and the second end (21, 23) in a rotatable sliding guide (41, 43) occupying a fixed position with respect to the center (29, 31) of the respective circular track (33, 35). The dimensions of the gripper mechanism described are such that a minimum tolerance of the position of the first ends (7, 9) parallel to the center line (5) is obtained. The gripper requires a considerably reduced calculation capability from the processor to be used for positioning the gripper arms (1, 3).
