The luminaire for a tubular electric lamp (3) has, in a housing (1) with a light emission window (2) in plane P, reflectors (5) at either side of the lamp (3) and a number of slats (10) transverse to the reflectors (5) below the lamp (3). The slats (10) are V-shaped in cross-section and have an inner surface (11) facing the lamp (3). The inner surface (11) has a central zone (12) and flanks (13) which extend at an angle away from plane P. The inner surface (11) has end zones (14) near the reflectors (5) which are in a plane Q parallel to plane P. The longitudinal axis (4) of the lamp (3) is situated in a region extending from plane Q towards plane P. Although the slats are relatively small, bright spots within the shielding angle of the luminaire are avoided.

A luminaire has a housing with a light emission window (2), a tubular lamp supported in the housing facing the window (2) and having a center line extending in a plane P perpendicular to the window (2), side reflectors (5), and three-dimensional lamellae (10) which each have an outer edge (11) and a pair of inner edges (12). The outer edge of each lamellae is concave in a direction transverse to the window. The luminaire thus provides an optimized cut-off angle, screening light which would otherwise be dazzling but permitting non-dazzling light to pass. Each of the lamellae has a concave curvature in a direction parallel to the plane P but which flattens out going from plane P towards the side-reflectors (5). That enlarges the aperture through which light emanates and makes the illumination provided by the luminaire more uniform.

Luminaire

The reflector lamp has a lamp vessel (1) whose second portion (7) and third portion (10) are mirror-coated. A light source (17) is positioned axially on either side of the greatest diameter (3). The lamp gives a light beam with a high luminous flux and a high luminous intensity in the beam center.

Electric reflector lamp

The reflector lamp with lamp vessel (1), whose second portion (8) and third portion (11) are mirror-coated and form cooperating reflector portions, has an axially positioned light source (15) which extends in front of and behind the greatest diameter (3). The lamp forms a beam with a high luminous flux and a high luminous intensity in the beam center.

An electric incandescent lamp includes a lamp vessel having an axis and a reflective coating. Within the lamp vessel two filaments are arranged in a disc-shaped space transverse to the axis and which are electrically connected in series, the second end portion of the first filament being electrically connected to the first end portion of the second filament. Mains voltage is applied between the first end portion of the first filament and the second end portion of the second filament. The filaments are arranged opposite each other so as to substantially surround the axis of the lamp vessel, and are closest to each other at the corresponding end portions thereof. Such end portions are separated by a gap in either or both the axial and transverse directions. The lamp produces a symmetrical light beam of high intensity at its center.

Electric incandescent lamp

The electric incandescent lamp according to the invention has a lamp vessel (1) comprising a second wall portion (6) opposite to a neck-shaped first wall portion (4). Between the largest diameter (3) and the second wall portion (6) is disposed a third mirror-coated wall portion (7,7'), which is mainly curved in axial section along the arc of a circle, whose center (8,8') is located on the other side of the axis of symmetry (2) and of a plane passing through the largest diameter (3). The filament (10) has a plane of symmetry passing through the axis of symmetry (2) and extends on either side of a second plane through said axis at right angles to the first plane. The lamp produces together with an external reflector a narrow beam with a high luminous flux at the center thereof.

Lamp

The electric incandescent lamp has a multi-use lamp vessel having a neck-shaped wall portion, a wall portion which is curved in accordance with a first circuit arc and extends substantially in the transverse direction, and a wall portion which is curved in accordance with a second circular arc and extends substantially in the axial direction. A filament is arranged in the proximity of the largest diameter. The electric incandescent lamp has the advantage that, independent of its finish it has a lamp vessel of the same shape and the same mounting means for the filament. The manufacture of incandescent lamps of different types is thereby simplified considerably.
