A support for a vehicle seat, which support can be fastened to a supporting element of the seat and is used to support a cushion of the seat upholstery. The support is designed as a hollow body which provides a pneumatic pressure accumulator to which a pneumatic pressure source and at least one pneumatic consumer can be connected.

A height adjusting device for a lengthwise adjustable vehicle seat is provided. Pivotal control arm units are provided at front and rear position of a vehicle seat to raise and lower the seat in dependance on their rotative position Link assembles, including front and rear coupling arms pivotally connected by an intermediate joint connect the front and rear control arm units.

A vehicle seat has a backrest which can be tilted forward about a swivelling axis displaced toward the front with respect to the backrest into an alternate position for facilitating the entry and the exit. The backrest is fixed in its tilted-back end position by way of latching devices arranged on both sides on the seat cushion part, after which the latching devices can be synchronously unlocked in a remote-controlled manner by a common actuating element. For the swivel bearing and for the support of the backrest with respect to the seat cushion part, lateral support fittings are provided, on which, at a distance behind the forward swivelling axis, a hinge is arranged for adjusting the inclination of the backrest. The support fittings each have a rearward-projecting holding leg which ends at a distance behind the assigned hinge of the backrest, the free leg end of the holding leg in the tilted-back end position of the backrest being lockable on the seat cushion part.

Vehicle seat

A vehicle seat has a seat framework, which includes a cushion support, which receives a seat cushion, and rear and front connections, each designed in pairs, between the cushion support and seat framework. In order to provide a connection between the seat framework and cushion support which is cost-effective to produce and which has sufficient stability with respect to release even in extreme situations, each rear connection has a horizontal guide bolt, which projects transversely on the seat framework, and a U-shaped longitudinal guide, which is fastened on the cushion support and grips over the bolt. Each front connection has a hairpin-like spring, which is secured on the cushion support, and two latching jaws, which are spaced apart transversely from one another on the seat framework. Each latching jaw bears a groove for the form-fitting insertion of one leg of the spring, which spreads in the direction of the latching jaws.
