A movable support apparatus (), supported on a floor and movable between at least two target stations, for receiving, moving and handing over rolls, winding shafts () and/or machine reels () intended for the handling of a fiber web. The movable support apparatus () has support members () for holding up the load being handled () at both its support ends () and is adapted to be supported on a floor with at least one pressure medium cushion element (). A handling system includes the movable support apparatus (). Rolls, winding shafts () and/or machine reels () may be handled with the movable support apparatus (). The movable support apparatus may be used as a movable winding stand for the winding of a fiber web (W).

Support apparatus, handling system and method

The present invention relates to a reeling apparatus () for fiber web by which fiber web may be wound to successive reels (). The reeling apparatus has cutting devices () for cutting the web during a reel change, the cutting device being provided with at least one cutting head () disposed movable in a direction essentially transverse to the web direction to cut the web. A contactless web supporting arrangement () is been provided in operational connection with the cutting device to maintain the running of the web stable in a controlled manner during the cutting.

Reeling apparatus for fiber web and method of reeling fiber web

In a method and an apparatus for controlling reeling used in connection with the making of paper/board/some equivalent web-like material, a reeler is used in the reeling which has a reeling element (), a reeling core (T), around which the web (W) is reeled to form a reel (), as well as elements for loading the reeling core (T) and the reeling element () against each other in order to bring about a reeling nip (N) in between the reeling element () and the reel (). The reeling is monitored by a detection apparatus, which automatically detects any events differing from normal reeling.

Method and apparatus for reeling control having an electromagnetic radiation detection

Support and positioning means () and a cutting head () supported on them extend in the operating position of the area of the edge part (') of a paper web (). In the cutting head (), there is a support surface () and at least one nozzle (), which is set in such a way that the edge part (&#x2032;) travels between the support surface () and the nozzle (). The equipment includes mechanical cleaning means () and/or a cleaning construction () for keeping the support surfaces () clean. The cleaning means () and/or cleaning construction () are arranged on the opposite side of the paper web () to the nozzle ().

Equipment for cutting particularly a paper web with a water jet

In the method and device in connection with a reel-up of a paper web there is a rotating reel spool () around which a reel (R) has been formed from the paper web (W) passed to the reel-up. In the method web (W) passed to the reel is cut, and the surface layers of the reel are bound by a pressing device () which is in contact with the surface of the rotating reel (R) and has a press member () forming a nip with the peripheral surface of the reel and rotating substantially at the same surface speed therewith. In addition to using the press member (), the final end, i.e. tail (H) of the web that travels along with the rotating motion of the reel is guided against the peripheral surface of the reel (R) by a guiding member (), which is located within a distance from the press member () in the direction of the perimeter of the reel and whose surface that is located opposite to the reel has a lower speed in the direction of motion of the peripheral surface of the reel than the peripheral surface of the reel (R).

Method and device in connection with a reel-up

The present invention relates to a method and device for the transferring of a web onto a reel spool in the reel-up of a paper web having an empty reel spool ( ) that is introduced into a contact with the web (W) running on the reeling cylinder ( ) and being still unreeled, to make the transfer possible, and a turn-up blow is used to help the web (W) to break and to be guided on to the empty reel spool ( ). The turn-up blow is brought from beneath a horizontal plane passing through the central axis of the reeling cylinder ( ) into a location on the mantle of the reeling cylinder that is located after the reel spool ( ) in the direction of rotation of the reeling cylinder.

Method and device for transferring a web onto a reel spool in the reel-up of a paper web

In the method for controlling the structure of a reel, a continuous paper web (W) is reeled around a reel spool ( ) to form a reel (R), and one or more variables are measured from the web (W). When a particular, predetermined change occurs in the variable, the lateral oscillation of the web is changed, by means of which the web is guided to different locations in the reel (R) in the axial direction of the reel spool ( ). The change can be implemented by starting the oscillation or by changing the oscillation in progress. The change can be implemented on the basis of the changes in the transverse profile of the web (W).

Method and apparatus for controlling the reel structure

A change device of a reel-up in placed in the reel-up of a paper web in connection with the reel spool ( ) forming the core of a new roll and located against the web (W) running onto the old roll (R). The change device comprises a guiding device ( ) which is provided with nozzles or the like which are positioned and directed with respect to the reel spool ( ) in such a way that they direct air jets (S) to the new end of the web following the cut-off point of the web (W) substantially over the full width of the web, to guide the web around the reel spool ( ).

Change device of a reel-up and method for changing a roll

In the method for stopping a machine reel (R) in the final stage of reeling a web (W), the web (W) is cut when the machine reel (R) has become full, the web (W) is possibly guided on a new reeling shaft ( ), and the rotation of the machine reel (R) detached from the nip contact with a reeling cylinder ( ) is stopped by means of braking forces which are exerted both on the reeling shaft ( ) of the full machine reel (R) and on the surface of the machine reel (R). The braking powers which are exerted on the reeling shaft ( ) of the machine reel (R) and on the surface of the machine reel (R) and which stop the machine reel (R) are distributed in the ratio (S) of 1:1 . . . 100:1. The ratio can be changed during the deceleration of the machine reel.

Method for stopping a machine reel

A web cut-off device including a frame defining a piston chamber, a piston movable in the piston chamber, a cutter blade attached to the piston such that upon movement of the piston in a first direction, the cutter blade is adapted to engage and cut a web, at least one pressure chamber and lower connecting ducts for connecting the pressure chamber(s) to a lower part of the piston chamber. The ducts opening directly into opposed side walls defining the piston chamber such that the piston operates as a valve between the piston chamber and the pressure chamber(s). The device also includes at least one return pressure duct in communication with an upper part of the piston chamber such that upon introduction of pressure into the return pressure duct(s), the piston is moved in a second direction opposite to the first direction, and at least one bottom duct in communication with a bottom of the piston chamber such that by introducing pressure into the bottom of the piston chamber via the bottom duct(s), movement of the piston in the first direction is initiated and by evacuating pressure from the bottom of the piston chamber via the bottom duct(s), the piston is maintained stationary in the piston chamber. A method for cutting a web using the device is also disclosed.
