Pedestal components are stacked on top of each other in multiple layers, to form multiple display surfaces at different levels of the pedestal. Modular components may be secured together only by gravitational force, and may cooperate by slidable and/or rotatable engagement, for adjustment of a group of components into different configurations as desired. The pedestal may include two or more subassemblies each having two or more layers of components, wherein the subassemblies may be connected by components extending between and engaging multiple of the subassemblies so that some of the components are common to, and interchangeable in, multiple subassemblies.

Block pedestal having slidably supported horizontal members

Display pedestals comprise at least one generally planar horizontal support member, and at least one vertical column. The top surface and/or the bottom surface of the support member has least one depression or at least one projection, and at least one vertical column fits to the depression or projection. Multiple columns may be arranged in, and rotatable and detachable in, pillars that support multiple top and intermediate support members, so that the pedestal is modular and adjustable by rotation into many different configurations.

Rotatable pedestal components and assemblies

Display pedestals comprise at least one generally planar horizontal support member which is hollow, and at least one vertical column. The top surface and/or the bottom surface of the support member has least one depression or at least one projection, and at least one vertical column fits to the depression or projection. The interior volume of the hollow support member is filled with air or with a foamed polymeric or metallic material.

A pedestal which comprises a horizontal component and one or more vertical components which fit into open channels or fit over straight projections in the upper surface of the horizontal component. A pedestal base which is a hollow tube having a first periphery and a second periphery. At least one of the first and second peripheries includes at least two pairs of open channels. Each pair of open channels is sized and spaced around the periphery so that a support member of constant cross-section can be slidably fitted into the pair of channels. The pairs of channels are spaced around the periphery so that, when a straight support member is fitted into each pair of channels, all the support members are parallel to each other and form a platform for supporting objects. The pedestals are particularly useful in the catering industry for supporting food and beverage containers, tableware, flower vases and sculptures.
