The dust-free coated dye-containing pellet is a granulated carrier material that is encapsulated with a dye-containing coating material. The dye-containing coating material contains a mixture of a water-soluble or water-dispersible film-former with at least one direct dye and/or at least one oxidation dye precursor. Preferred carrier materials include dextrose, oligosaccharides and cellulose compounds. The dust-free coated dye-containing pellet is preferably made by granulating the carrier material together with optional antioxidants and auxiliary agents, heating the resulting granulate at no more than 34&#xb0; C., subsequently coating the granulate by spraying it with a solution or dispersion of the coating material and optionally drying as needed.

Dye-containing pellets for coloring keratin fibers

The agent for coloring keratin fibers is free of chemical oxidants, is in the form of an aqueous or aqueous-alcoholic dye-containing preparation, and contains a combination of oxidation dyes and at least three direct dyes. The agent is characterized by a quantitative ratio of oxidation dyes to direct dyes equal to 5:1 to 0.5:1. A method of dyeing hair is described in which the agent is applied to hair and allowed to act on the hair for an acting time of 5 to 60 minutes without addition of chemical oxidants, so that air oxidation provides a uniform and stable coloration of the hair.

The present patent application relates to dye-containing pellets obtained by (a) homogeneous mixing of a starting material containing at least one natural and/or synthetic dye with a suitable carrier material and then coating with a suitable encapsulation material or (b) coating a suitable carrier material with a mixture of at least one natural and/or synthetic dye and at least one suitable encapsulation material, to the use of said pellets for preparing colorants for keratin fibers and to the colorants based on said pellets.

The colorant for keratin fibers contains direct and/or oxidative dyes as well as a perfume system consisting of an encapsulated perfume and an unencapsulated perfume of the same composition. The ratio of encapsulated perfume to unencapsulated perfume is equal to about 0.5:3 to 3:0.5. The perfume system is used for removing or masking the unpleasant odor of alkalinizing agents in the colorant.

A method of conditioning and oxidatively dyeing human hair includes applying an oxidative hair dyeing composition to the human hair in order to dye the human hair and, simultaneously or subsequently to the applying of the oxidative hair dyeing composition, applying a particular hair conditioning composition to the hair. This hair conditioning composition has a pH value of from 3.4 to 3.9, which corresponds to an isoelectric point of the human hair, and contains from 0.001 to 2.5% by weight of a cationic polymer, an optional pH buffer and preferably additional conditioning ingredients, such as a cationic surfactant and/or a fatty alcohol.

The composition for removing or lightening hair color is in the form of a hair color lightening suspension and is mixed with an aqueous oxidizing composition immediately prior to use. The composition includes a combination of from 0.1 to 80 percent by weight of one or more organic lipophilic compounds, namely vegetable or animal fats, vegetable or animal oils, vegetable or animal waxes, paraffin hydrocarbons, higher alcohols or ethers, aliphatic and aromatic esters and/or silicone oils; from 0.1 to 40 percent by weight of at least one lipophilic inorganic or organic thickener, which forms an oleogel and/or lipogel with the lipophilic compounds; from 0.1 to 40 percent by weight of one or more hydrophilic inorganic or organic thickeners; from 10 to 65 percent by weight of at least one inorganic persalt; from 10 to 45 percent by weight of at least one alkaline reacting salt; and auxiliary substances and cosmetic additive ingredients, as needed.
