The application discloses sliding support assemblies which allow for relative linear motion between two bodies. The sliding support assemblies include a rolling slide mechanism and a friction slide mechanism. The rolling slide mechanism provides a low resistance to sliding motion between the two bodies. The friction slide mechanism provides support to the sliding support assembly when the loading between the two bodies is increased.

Sliding support assembly

The present invention provides a sliding support assembly comprising an elongate rail of channel section defining a first web and first and second flanges. A slide cassette is positioned between the first and second flanges of the elongate rail such that the slide cassette and the first and second flanges define a first endless track and a second endless track and a plurality of bearing balls is positioned within the first and second endless tracks. The slide cassette comprises a body member formed from extruded material.

Re-circulating ball sliding support assembly

A re-circulating ball sliding support comprises an elongate rail and a slide cassette. The slide cassette includes structure that interacts with the rail to seal the sliding support assembly such that the ingress of dirt into the slide cassette is prevented, and any lubricant for the balls is retained within the slide cassette.

The present invention relates to sliding supports and particularly sliding supports having two elongate members of channel section and a locating assembly positioned therebetween. The locating assembly includes a plurality of bearing balls and a plurality of contact elements, and is capable of functioning without the use of grease or additional lubrication. The sliding support is particularly suitable for use in harsh environments.

The invention relates to a carrier system for products to be cooked in a baking oven. Said system comprises at least one carrier for products to be cooked (), at least one pair of telescoping slides () which respectively comprise at least one inner rail () and one outer rail (), and fixing devices which are arranged on the lateral walls () of the baking oven muffle () and which enable the telescoping slides () to be detachably fixed at various levels of said baking oven muffle (). Said carrier for products to be cooked () is positioned in such a way that it can be removed from the baking oven muffle by means of the telescoping slides situated in the same. The aim of the invention is to create a carrier system for products to be cooked, whereby only the minimum number of telescoping slides required is provided in the baking oven, thus enabling the carrier for products to be cooked to be moved between levels in a simple and comfortable manner without entailing complex dismounting work, and the telescoping slides are less easily dirtied and are exposed to less heat over a long period of term compared with known carrier systems for products to be cooked. In order to achieve this, the carrier for products to be cooked () is connected to the pair of telescoping slides () in a fixed or detachable manner in the form of a carrier unit for products to be cooked, which can be removed from the baking oven. Intermediate walls () are provided in the baking oven muffle (), said walls extending essentially perpendicularly in relation to the rear wall of the muffle () in the direction of the muffle opening, and being arranged in such a way that the telescoping slides () respectively extend between the lateral wall of the muffle () and the intermediate wall () (cold area), and the carrier for the products to be cooked () extends between the intermediate walls () (hot area), when the carrier unit for the products to be cooked and inserted into the baking oven.

A drawer slide and drawer slide combination which incorporates a connecting clip for providing a quick-release connection between the drawer slide,and the drawer,the clip comprising a fixing part,for connection preferably with a snap-fit, and preferably to the slide and a latching part,having a projection,thereon, preferably for engagement with an aperture,in the drawer,. The latching part,is preferably spring loaded and preferably pivotable between a first aperture engaging position for connecting the drawer to the slide and a second release position in which the projection,no longer engages in the aperture in the drawer, whereby the drawer and slide can be disconnected. Disconnection is achieved by applying finger pressure to a release latch portion,, which may be integral with the latching part,. The connecting clip could be made of spring metal, but is preferably made of resiliently deformnable plastics material. It may be formed in one or in two parts.
