A turbomachine may include a turbine arranged in a housing and configured to be acted on with a hot working medium. The turbomachine may include at least one bypass channel for heating the housing through the working medium. The bypass channel may extend completely within the housing and be configured to bypass the turbine.

Turbomachine

A drive system may include an internal combustion engine and an expander operated via a working medium. A force transmission device may be disposed between a crankcase and the expander. A first seal may be disposed between the expander and the force transmission device and/or a second seal may be disposed between the force transmission device and the crankcase. A crankcase ventilation line may lead from the crankcase into an intake pipe of the internal combustion engine. An air mass sensor may be disposed in the intake pipe. An engine control unit may be in communication with the air mass sensor, the expander, and the internal combustion engine and may be configured to detect a power of the internal combustion engine and an air mass flow of the air mass sensor and may switch off the expander if a power suddenly rises with the air mass flow remaining constant.

A device for transmitting rotational motions without contact may include an inner rotor with at least one inner-rotor magnet and an outer rotor with at least one outer-rotor magnet. The inner rotor and the outer rotor are magnetically coupled to one another and rotatable along a rotation direction about a common axis of rotation. The at least one inner-rotor magnet and/or the at least one outer-rotor magnet may have a magnetization that is at least one of diametric, radial, and lateral. The at least one inner-rotor magnet may have a different type of magnetization than the at least one outer-rotor magnet.

Magnetic coupling device for transmitting rotational motions without contact

An electric motor with contact commutation may include an external stator and an internal, rotatably mounted rotor. A magnet arrangement including at least one permanent magnet may be arranged fixedly on the rotor. A coil arrangement including at least one electric coil may be arranged fixedly on the stator. A contact commutation assembly may be in communication with the coil arrangement.

Contact-commutated electric motor

A heat recovery system for an internal combustion engine may include a heat exchanger, through which a fluid heat-transfer medium flows, for transferring heat from an exhaust gas system to the heat-transfer medium. A heat engine, through which the heat-transfer medium flows, may be included for converting the heat transferred to the heat-transfer medium into mechanical output work. A cyclically closed line system may be included for connecting the heat exchanger to the heat engine. The system may include a positive displacement pump for conveying the heat-transfer medium through the line system in a predefined flow direction via mechanical drive work. The system may include a drive, which is hermetically sealed off from the heat-transfer medium, for feeding the drive work to the positive displacement pump, and an output, which is hermetically sealed off from the heat-transfer medium, for discharging the output work from the heat engine.

Heat recovery system for an internal combustion engine

A cooling system for a supercharged internal combustion engine may include a charge air cooling circuit, in which a low-temperature coolant circulates and which may have a low-temperature charge air cooler for cooling charge air and a low-temperature coolant cooler for cooling the low-temperature coolant. The system may include a refrigerant circuit, in which a refrigerant circulates and which has a vaporizer for vaporizing the refrigerant and a condenser for condensing the refrigerant. The system may include a coupling heat exchanger for a fluidically separated, heat-transmitting coupling of the charge air cooling circuit with the refrigerant circuit. The coupling heat exchanger may be arranged in a vaporizer bypass of the refrigerant circuit thereby bypassing the vaporizer and be arranged in a coupling branch of the charge air cooling circuit. The coupling branch may branch off via a branching-off point from a feed of the charge air cooling circuit.

Cooling system and associated operating method

A wastegate valve device for a supercharging device may include a valve disc, which is connected to an actuator device via a drive train. The wastegate valve device may include at least one damping element arranged between the valve disc and the actuator device. The drive train may have an inner section, which is arranged inside a fluid path of a driving fluid. The inner section may include a spindle arm, which is connected to a spindle and to the valve disc. The spindle may be connected to an operating arm, which is arranged in an outer section of the drive train. The operating arm may be arranged outside the fluid path, and may be connected to an operating rod, which is connected to the actuator device. The damping element may be arranged in a connection region of the drive train.

Wastegate valve device

A piston engine, having at least one cylinder that includes at least a first and a second discharge valve and a double overhead camshaft for controlling the first and a second discharge valves. The double overhead camshaft includes both an inner shaft, which has at least one first cam for controlling the first discharge valve, and an outer shaft that is coaxial to the first inner shaft and has at least one second cam for controlling the second discharge valve. The inner shaft and the outer shaft are rotationally adjustable relative to one another changing the discharge time frame of the discharge valves.
