Embodiments include methods for configuring a first node of a first radio access technology (RAT) in a radio access network (RAN), for dual connectivity toward a user equipment with nodes of a second RAT in the RAN. Such methods include receiving, from a DNS server, an address of a first node of the second RAT, which is configured to act as an address request proxy for nodes of the first RAT. Such methods include, based on the received address, establishing a first connection with the first node of the second RAT. Such methods also include receiving a third request to set up a second connection with a second node of the second RAT, and sending, to the second node a fourth request, to the second node (e.g., in response to the third request), for the second node to act as address request proxy for the first node of the first RAT.

Automatic discovery of eNodeB (ENB) proxy for EN-DC configuration transfer

Embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a distributed unit of a network node, for establishing a connection between the distributed unit and a central unit connected to a core part of the wireless network. The network node includes the central unit and at least the distributed unit. The distributed unit performs a Domain Name Server lookup for a proxy central unit, which will act as a temporary or initial central unit with regard to a configuration transfer procedure. The distributed unit further receives an ip address of the proxy central unit and initiates the configuration transfer procedure by sending a configuration transfer message to the ip address of the proxy central unit. The distributed unit further receives an ip address of the central unit and establishes a connection between the distributed unit and the central unit using the received ip address of the central unit.

The present disclosure relates to radio network communication. In one of its aspects, the disclosure presented herein concerns a method for retrieving configuration information from a target Base Station (BS) in an E-UTRA New Radio-Dual Connectivity (EN-DC) wireless communication system. The method is performed by a source en-gNB. According to the method, a request message requesting configuration information from the target BS is transmitted to a first proxy evolved Node B (eNB). The request message comprises identifiers identifying the source en-gNB and the target BS, respectively.

A method in a first radio access node for preparing handover of a user equipment in a wireless communications network. The user equipment is to be handed over from being served by the first radio access node to being served by a second radio access node. The first radio access node is connected to a first core network node currently serving the user equipment. A control node () of a cellular network establishes one or more control plane sessions with a gateway node (). Handling of control interface failure in multicast transmissions via a cellular network

The embodiments disclosed relates to a method and a network node that determines a time period between a first handover and a second handover of a user equipment. The first handover is to or from a first cell and the second handover is to or from a second cell. The network node sets a threshold value based on a difference in cell quality between the first cell and the second cell. The difference in cell quality is associated with the first or second handover. The network node then determines the type of handover, of at least one of the first and second handover, based on the time period and threshold value.

The invention relates to a method in a first radio base station for determining a performance state of a first cell served by the first radio base station, which first radio base station is comprised in a radio communications network. In one aspect, the teachings herein provide an enhanced inter-base-station interface and associated processing in which a base station receives a message from a neighboring base station that zero served PLMNs are available in a neighboring cell. The invention relates to a method in a Mobility Management Entity () for handling a setup of an S1 Application Protocol signalling connection between a first radio base station and the Mobility Management Entity () in a Long Term Evolution radio communications network. Methods and arrangements for handling a setup of an S1 application protocol signalling connection

A system and method of scheduling radio resources for a plurality of users in a packet-switched radio communication network. A scheduling number (Si) is calculated for each user before each scheduling event. A weight (Wi) is assigned to each user based on an associated Quality of Service. The Si varies depending on the assigned Wi and when the user entered the scheduling session. Radio resources are assigned to the user having the largest ratio Wi/Si between the weight and the scheduling number.
