An electro-motor drive, in particular for a fan drive of a motor vehicle, includes a commutator motor, a motor shaft of which is rotatably mounted on axially opposite sides in shaft bearings facing away from the bearing shield in order to substantially dampen the sound of at least bearing play-related contact noise and vibration or humming noise.

In order to reduce the wear on the brushes (6) and thus extend the operating lives of the brushes and of the commutator motor, brush sparking on the trailing edges (6.2) of the brushes (6) is reduced a commutation magnetic field (M), produced for example by an additional magnet (4) placed axially behind the brushes (6), such that the magnetic field (M) deflects the moving charge carriers in the brushes (6), to thereby reduce the current density at the trailing edges (6.2) of the brushes (6).

A motor mount is described for preventing the transmission of noisy vibration of the motor on vehicle body parts on which the motor is mounted by its motor housing. The motor housing is held by a carrier part that surrounds it. The carrier part is surrounded at a radial distance by a mounting part at least in some areas. The mounting part is connected to the carrier part by an elastic sound-absorbing intermediate layer that is subjected substantially to tensile stresses.
