A percutaneous ostomy implant for implantation into the abdominal wall of a patient. The implant has a cylindrical part for mounting an external detachable device thereto, an ingrowth mesh and a circular flange for anchoring the implant. The cylindrical part and circular flange are attached to opposite ends of the ingrowth mesh. The ingrowth mesh is arranged such that when the implant is implanted in the abdominal wall of a patient, the epidermis meets the ingrowth mesh and is able to attach therethrough directly to serosal tissue of a bowel segment inside the implant.

Percutaneous implant and ostomy method

An implant and an implant member for attaching to living biological tissue of a human being or an animal. The implant has an outer surface comprising a first part and a second part which have different properties with regard to the biocompatibility of each part with biological tissue. The implant includes at least one surface portion comprising a ground surface making up the first part and one or several delimited regions making up said second part. A method for producing the implant, where a perforated masking unit is applied onto the implant, and a masking unit for the method.

Implant and an implant member

The invention relates to an implant element for permanent anchorage in bone tissue in which at least the surface intended to face the tissue in the implantation region is made of a biocompatible material such as titanium and having a clinically well documented surface. The element is provided with a thin, uniform and adherent calcium-phosphate coating with a well controlled dissolution rate. The coating follows the topography of the underlying well documented surface in order to combine properties for rapid bone growth during the healing phase and properties for a guaranteed long-term stability during clinical loading conditions.
