An electric machine includes an annular stator and a rotor disposed within the stator. The stator has a plurality of stator segments in the circumferential direction and a stator winding applied to a winding support. Each stator segment has lateral cutouts in the circumferential direction. In each case a winding support having a toroidally applied stator winding is introduced into lateral cutouts, which are adjacent in the circumferential direction, of adjacent stator segments. The radial outer side of the stator winding is partially surrounded by stator segment outer arms of mutually adjacent stator segments in such a way that a radially directed outer gap is formed between the stator segment outer arms of the two mutually adjacent stator segments.

An electric machine includes an annular stator and a rotor disposed within the stator. The stator has a multiplicity of stator segments in a circumferential direction. Each of the stator segments has one or more inner grooves, disposed in the region of the inner circumference of the stator segment, and a winding window which is disposed in the region of the outer circumference of the stator segment. A stator winding is wound in toroidal fashion around the stator segment. The winding window is partially surrounded at its radial outer side by stator segment outer arms in such a way that a radially directed outer gap extending from the winding window to the outer circumference of the stator segment is formed between the stator segment outer arms.

A brake installation for a motor vehicle. First and second pressure provision devices build up brake pressure in the wheel brakes. The first pressure device connected to a first wheel brake of a first brake circuit and to a second wheel brake of the first brake circuit. The second pressure device connected to a third wheel brake of a second brake circuit and to a fourth wheel brake of the second brake circuit. Each pressure device is respectively activated by an open-loop/closed-loop control unit. A first hydraulic line, with a normally open isolating valve, connects the first wheel brake line of the first brake circuit to the first wheel brake line of the second brake circuit. A second hydraulic line, with a normally open isolating valve, connects the second wheel brake line of the first brake circuit to the second wheel brake line of the second brake circuit.

A brake system comprises a cylinder-piston unit movable by an electromechanical actuator. Wheel brakes associated with at least one axle can be supplied with braking pressure via the hydraulic pressure chamber. The electromechanical actuator comprises a rotation-translation transmission and an electronically commutated synchronous machine having a stator with at least two phase windings, a rotor comprising at least one permanent magnet and at least one rotor position sensor. A torque-forming current and/or a magnetic field attenuating current are adjusted in a co-ordinate system which is fixed relative to the rotor. Voltages in the co-ordinate system are detected to serve as control variables and are transformed into a voltage phasor, which indicates for each phase winding of the stator, a voltage to be applied, and a set value for the magnetic field attenuating current is limited to a maximum value being determined from a predetermined characteristic map.

Method for controlling a brake system

A permanent-magnet synchronous machine comprises a rotor and a stator for holding at least one first stator winding and a second stator winding which is electrically insulated from said first stator winding. The second stator winding has a smaller conductor cross section and a larger number of turns than the first stator winding, wherein a first operating voltage is provided for motor operation of the first stator winding and a second operating voltage is provided for motor operation of the second stator winding. The second operating voltage has a higher rated voltage than a rated voltage of the first operating voltage.

Linear actuator

A method for operating an electronically commutated synchronous machine, having a stator with at least two, in particular three, phase windings and a rotor having at least one permanent magnet. A control factor is determined periodically for each phase winding. The time periods during which an upper and lower supply voltage is applied to the phase winding are determined based on the control factor. The electronically commutated synchronous machine is actuated according to space vector modulation. Zero vectors are applied to the phase windings at the beginning and/or end of a period for a switch-off duration. All switches connected to the upper supply voltage or all switches connected to the lower supply voltage are on. The selection of the zero vector is performed in accordance with the phase winding with the greatest, in magnitude, deviation from the average control factor. As disclosed is an actuation circuit and the use thereof.

An electronically-commutated synchronous system and method includes a permanently-excited rotor and a stator which is provided with three phase windings, together with three rotor position sensors in an appropriate arrangement for a first commutation scheme. The rotor position is determined by the read-out of data from the position sensors. The appropriate voltage vector is defined by a second commutation scheme, and the second rotor position thus determined is compared with the first commutation scheme. If the rotor position sensors are operating correctly, the position of the rotor may be determined to an accuracy which is equivalent to the interval between two columns in the commutation table.
