Drape-over article with storage

A storage tote assembly includes a lower storage bin, an upper storage tote that is selectively attachable to the lower storage bin, and at least one electrical power outlet inside the lower storage bin. The lower storage bin has a bottom panel and at least one bin sidewall that extends up from the bottom panel to define the lower storage chamber. The upper storage tote has a lower portion that selectively engages the bin sidewall at an open top thereof. The lower portion of the storage tote and at least one tote sidewall cooperate to define an upper storage area for loose articles. The power outlet is energized by an external power source or an onboard power supply, to provide electrical power to a portable electrical or electronic device.

A drape-over article for furniture includes a flexible or rigid body that has an inverted U-shape, or is capable of assuming an inverted U-shape. The body has downwardly-extending inner and outer arm portions spaced apart from one another, and a central bight portion that forms an upper region of the body. An electrical power and/or electronic data outlet is mountable to the outer arm portion and is accessible along an outer surface of the outer arm portion. The electrical power and/or electronic data outlet can be energized by an electrical power source such as a wall outlet or an onboard battery.

A power, communications and data grommet mounted in an aperture in a work surface comprising, a housing adapted to fit into the aperture, the housing comprising a cap removably connected to a liner, the liner comprising an upper liner and a lower liner, the upper liner flaring outwardly to prevent the grommet from falling through the aperture, and a substantially cylindrical lower liner having a threaded outer surface, and a lock ring having inner threads to be threadably attached to the lower liner.

A retractable lamp assembly is provided for illuminating at least a portion of a work surface from a wide range of heights and angles by way of extendable shafts and pivot joints. The lamp may be stowed in a retracted or lowered configuration when not in use, in which a substantial portion of the extendable structure is stowed inside of a housing that is located substantially below the work surface, to provide a generally unobtrusive configuration. An upper cover serves as a light reflector when the lamp is in use, and may serve as a cover positioned at or near the work surface when the lamp is stowed. Optionally, the lamp assembly includes include power and data and wire management capabilities for use at the work surface.

Retractable light assembly

An electrically conductive ball joint and lighting fixtures using the joint are disclosed. The joint has a ball with a first portion connected to a first electrical signal and a second portion connected to a second electrical signal. The first and second portions are electrically isolated from one another by a nonconductive bushing. A socket receives the ball and has a first set of electrical contacts adapted to make contact with the first portion of the ball and a second set of electrical contacts adapted to make contact with the second portion of the ball. The two portions of the ball are unequal, with one portion being larger than the other. The lighting fixtures generally comprise a base and two or more arms connected to the base. The arms are connected to one another electrically and structurally with the electrically conductive ball joints, and may be counterweighted.
