A plug connector is disclosed for electrically connecting two printed boards consisting of a blade connector with a plurality of blade contacts arranged in a prescribed grid dimension and a spring clip adapted thereto with a plurality of spring contacts, whereby not only the blade contacts, but also the spring contacts are respectively connected to the printed boards via press-in pins arranged in the prescribed grid dimension. In the blade connector, to realize high-current contacts in the same grid dimension, one or more blade contacts are respectively allocated--via a blade body to press-in pins residing perpendicularly in a row, and in the spring clip one or more spring contacts are allocated-via a spring body--to press-in pins residing perpendicularly in a row, whereby the number of the spring contacts is equal to or greater than the number of blade contacts.

The invention is directed to a plug-type connector for backplane wirings, composed of a blade connector portion and a metal spring clip portion. Individual contact springs are surrounded by electrically conductive shielding plates that are connected to contactings applied in an intermediate grid both at the backplane side as well as at the printed circuit board assembly side, the contactings being charged with an appropriate potential. In order to obtain a comparatively simple structure of the spring clip portion of improved simplicity, the spring clip housing (1-8) is composed of an electrically conductive material, whereby the contact springs (35-37) are arranged insulated therefrom in receptacle chambers (9-16).

The invention is directed to a plug-type connector for backplane wirings, composed of blade connector and spring clip, wherein the individual contact springs are surrounded by electrically conductive shielding plates that are connected to contactings applied in the intermediate grid both at the backplane side as well as at the assembly side, these contactings being charged with an appropriate potential. In order to obtain a comparatively simple structure of the spring clip, the spring clip (1) is composed of through receptacle chambers into which metallic tubes (4) can be inserted, wherein contact springs (5) extrusion-coated with plastic (12) can be placed into the tubes (4).

In order to reemploy the centering strips when equipping wiring backplanes with contact blades, the contact blades (2, 12) have their press-in zones introduced into a blade holder (1, 11) serving as a centering strip, being introduced thereinto in attitudinally correct allocation to one another. The contact blades (2, 12) introduced into the blade holder (1, 11) are pressed into the wiring backplane (5, 15) from the blade holder (1, 11) with a press-in die (7, 17) and the blade holder (1, 11) is pulled off from the contact blades (2, 12) when the press-in die (7, 17) is retracted.

The invention is directed to a plug-type connection composed of blade connector and spring clip, whereby the individual contact passages are surrounded by electrically conductive shielding plates that are connected to shield contactings carrying a ground or shield potential. The shield contactings are to an intermediate shielding grid system located both at the backplane side and at the circuit board or module side. In order to achieve an improved interconnect passage width between the contact blades and the shield contactings arranged in the intermediate grid, the electrical connection between the connector or spring clip and assembly printed circuit board ensues on the basis of pressure of spring-like bent terminal ends which flatten onto contact surfaces on the assembly printed circuit board.

The invention is directed to a printed circuit board arrangement for plug-type connections composed of a blade connector and spring clip, whereby the individual contact passages are surrounded by electrically conductive shield plates that are connected to contactings carrying shield potential that are attached both at the backplane side as well as at the assembly side, and whereby both the contact blades and contact springs as well as the contactings are contacted and secured with press-in technique in the printed circuit boards fashioned as multi-layer multilayers. In order to create an adequate interconnect lead-through width between the contactings, the shield potential in the printed circuit board arrangement of the invention is conducted in a separate shield printed circuit board (3) that is electrically separated from the multilayer (1) by an insulating foil (2).

A plug-type connector is provided having shield elements that surround signal-carrying conductor parts. Shielding plates are placed in slots in walls of receptacle chambers which house a spring contact strip. Shield elements are disposed in slots in a wall or floor of the blade connector. The shielding plates of the spring contact strip (8) include transverse shielding plates (14) and longitudinal shielding plates (13) fashioned comb-like so that they interfit and interconnect. The shielding plates (13, 14) are provided with incisions of a predetermined width at a front region of the receptacle chambers (11), having the respective corners bent off in a predetermined direction. Thin, additional contact pins (3) are anchored in the blade connector (1) and are connected to ground. These pins (3) are provided at the intersections of the shield elements and contact the shielding plates (13, 14) of the spring contact strip (8) at four points in the front region of the receptacle chambers (11).

The invention is directed to a coding device for electrical assemblies that can be inserted parallel to one another into a module frame and that are contacted via plug devices attached at the back to a wiring backplane. A coding flange having three quadratic openings arranged in a right angle pattern is arranged on the wiring backplane between the guard rails, and a corresponding coding housing likewise provided with three quadratic openings arranged in a right angle pattern is arranged on the assembly next to the plug connector. Coding pins can be selectively oriented within the openings by 90.degree. turns, whereby the free ends of said coding pins are fashioned as tongues having a rectangular cross-section, and the area of the cross-section of the tongues corresponds to half the area of the cross-section of the quadratic openings.

The invention is directed to a device for the electrical connection of shieldings of multi-pole plugs comprising a spring strip housing to the grounded potential layer of a printed circuit board containing a plurality of contact blades residing perpendicularly thereon. In order to achieve a shielding of the open end faces, the face sides of the plug, just like the longitudinal sides, are provided with a respective face shielding plate of the components side and of the solder side, whereby the face shielding plates are firmly joined to the shielding plates of the longitudinal sides and likewise comprise spring regions in the region of the contact blades.

The backplane wiring is composed of a wiring backplane having contact blades introduced thereinto, and of blade connectors pluggable thereonto and designed as a rectangular housing open at one side for the acceptance of spring clips which are rigidly connected to electrical assemblies. Both the blade connectors as well as the spring clips are composed of individual sub-strips whose lengths correspond to single or multiples of the length of a given sub-segment.
