An accumulator, particularly a lead accumulator, has a housing, which encloses multiple cells, and a block cover, which terminates the housing, including a bottom cover () and a top cover (), between which a gas chamber for acid separation is implemented, which is divided into multiple cavities (-), corresponding to the number of cells, and which has at least one vent opening, a fill opening (-) being provided for each cell in the bottom cover (). In order to improve an accumulator of this type, a gas outlet (-), which discharges into the associated cavity (-), is provided for each cell at a distance from the fill opening (-) in the bottom cover (), its size being dimensioned so that in the event of brief tipping of the accumulator, no more acid may escape from the cell than is received by the cavity (-) assigned thereto (FIG.).

A displacement device for producing a rotational movement with an output element adjustable in angle by operating a drive element. A load torque lock mounted between the drive element and the output element blocks, with force locking connection, torque introduced on the output side and transfers torque introduced on the drive side to the output element. Between the drive element and the load torque lock and/or between the output element and the load torque lock is a play compensating device which compensates the torsion angle play between the drive element, the output element and the load torque lock. The displacement device is used in particular for window lifters or seat adjusters of vehicles.

Displacement device

The invention relates to an adjustment device for producing a rotational movement that comprises an output element ( ) that can be adjusted at an angle by actuating a drive element ( ). The adjustment device further comprises a load moment lock ( ) interposed between the drive and the output element ( ) that frictionally blocks a rotational movement initiated at the output element side and that transmits a rotational movement initiated at the drive element side to the output element ( ). Said load moment lock ( ) further comprises locking elements ( &prime;) that are disposed in a cylindrical adjustment housing ( ). Upon the effect of a play-compensating device ( ) that is at least partially interposed between opposite adjusting surfaces ( &prime;) of the locking elements ( &prime;) and that compensates the rotational angle play between the drive element ( ), the output element ( ) and the load moment lock ( ), the clamping surfaces ( &prime;&Prime;) are forced apart with such a force that they rest against the adjustment housing ( ) with a predetermined pre-load. The adjustment device is provided with a play-compensating device ( ) that for both directions of rotation radially.

Adjustment device for a clutch with load moment lock

A drive which operates on both sides for use in adjusting devices, such as motor vehicle seats, includes a drive lever, a drive wheel, and coupling elements. The pivotally mounted drive lever is for, starting from an initial position, effecting a turning movement in one direction or the other as desired. The drive wheel is turned when the drive lever is moved out of the initial position. The coupling elements are arranged on the drive lever and have coupling areas for transmitting a turning movement onto the drive wheel. In order to transmit a turning movement, the coupling element can be coupled to the drive wheel via at least one positive locking element and by at least one elastic element.

Drive which acts on both sides and for use in adjusting devices in motor vehicles

A two-directional manual drive which produces a rotational movement, starting from the neutral position of a drive lever which can pivot around a drive axis whereby the rotational movement can occur in a selective manner in one of two rotational directions, includes a driven element having a driving surface, on which bearing surfaces of coupling elements are placed in frictional engagement when the drive lever is rotated out of a neutral position, displacing the driven element in the direction of the periphery. When the drive lever is returned to the neutral position the coupling elements are released from a position of frictional engagement with respect to the cylindrical driving surface so that the driven element is no longer displaced.

Two-directional manual drive

The invention relates to a drive acting on both sides for adjustment devices, including a rotationally mounted drive lever for producing a rotational movement that can be selectively effected in one direction of rotation or in the other direction of rotation, a drive wheel that can only be rotated when the drive lever is moved from a zero point position, at least a one-piece coupling element having two coupling areas for transmitting a torque to the drive wheel, in addition to a sliding block guide with areas for controlling the coupling element. The coupling element can be displaced radially and is tiltably mounted in a guide and coupled by both coupling areas in the zero point position of the drive lever to the drive wheel in an elastic manner so that the non-loaded coupling area is uncoupled from the drive wheel by the sliding block guide when the drive lever moves from the zero point position and remains uncoupled when the drive lever moves in the opposite direction.

Drive acting on both sides for adjustment devices

The invention relates to continuously variable manual drives for seat adjusters in motor vehicles. In a first design of the invention the drive has a transmission step which is coupled on the drive side or output side to the drive. A second design of the invention provides a continuously variable manual drive for seat adjusters in motor vehicles in which the drive and the output-side gear elements are connected together through a switchable coupling device, which in the non-actuated state maintains the power flow between the drive and the output-side gear elements by means of spring pretension and in the actuated state breaks off the connection between the drive and the output-side gear elements so that a passive seat adjustment is possible.

Continuously variable manual drive

The invention relates to a drive for adjustment devices in motor vehicles, more particularly for vehicle seats, having a stepped switch mechanism acting on both sides for manually producing a rotary movement. The object of the present invention is to provide a simplified and cost-effective device for adjusting the vehicle seat components in two directions. This is achieved by connecting the output side of the stepped switch mechanism to a self-blocking gear.

Drive for adjustment devices in motor vehicles

The present device relates to a two-way drive for producing a rotation movement. The drive has a return spring coupled with a return catch for the purpose of returning a drive lever to its zero position, and at least two friction locked components positioned on the shaft and linked to one another, whereby upon movement of the drive lever away from the zero position these friction locked components in association with an elastic switching component engage with the shaft and on the drive side transfer a torque to the shaft. The return catch (,&prime;) is directly secured to one of the friction locked components (,&prime;), whereby the return spring (,&prime;) also serves as an elastic switching component. This provides a two-way drive for producing a rotation movement which is flat and compact and is characterised by few components.

Bilaterally effective drive mechanism

A seat unit for motor vehicles includes several seat elements such as elements for seat length adjustment, fixing and bearing elements, seat side parts, seat shell and/or gear housing. Preferably, at least two of the seat elements are formed in a one-piece cast part. More particularly, the rail units for longitudinally adjusting the seat are formed as a cast part and further seat elements are molded in one piece on this rail unit. The configuration of the individual parts of the seat unit are optimized to the anticipated load conditions, and the number of parts of the seat unit is reduced.

A drive acting on both sides produces a rotary movement, more particularly a rotary movement for a manual height or incline adjustment of a vehicle seat. The drive lever is coupled to locking means which can be brought into engagement with teeth mounted on the circumference of a drive wheel. The locking means have a one-piece tilt element which tilts to and fro between two end positions in dependence on the relevant drive direction wherein in each end position a locking of the tilt element takes place with the teeth of the drive wheel. The invention provides a drive acting on both sides to produce a rotary movement which has a small number of individual parts, is simple to fit and is characterized by a compact structure.
