A method for controlling a printing process is disclosed. The method includes printing a printing material by a printing unit on a basis of data of a prepress stage. A printed result on the printing material is compared with a desired value and a correction value is derived from the comparison. The data of the prepress stage is corrected with the correction value.

Method for controlling a printing process

A digital printing device for the dynamic printing of a substrate web statically printed in a reel-fed printing press is disclosed. The digital printing device includes a position sensor which measures the substrate web for regulating a print position for the dynamic printing. The digital printing device is provided with a signal from a signal source of the reel-fed printing press. A position sensor control generates a synchronization signal and provides the synchronization signal to a digital printing head control. A speed signal transformer generates a feed signal and provides the feed signal to the digital printing head control. The digital printing head control activates the digital printing head dependent on the synchronization signal and the feed signal.

Digital printing device for the dynamic printing of a statically printed substrate web and reel-fed printing press

A method for printing on a substrate, wherein the substrate is printed upon with a plate-based printing process, particularly with an offset printing process, and with a plateless printing process, particularly with an inkjet printing process, inline with the plate-based printing process. According to the invention, a printing resolution of the plateless printing process is determined depending on a printing speed of the plate-based printing process.

Method of printing

A method for operating an inkjet printing device with at least one inkjet printhead having a row of nozzles through which ink can be directed onto the substrate to be printed, which is guided over a cylinder or over a curved guide element. The inkjet printhead or each inkjet printhead is oriented transversely to the transport direction of the substrate, so that the nozzles in the row of the inkjet printhead or of each inkjet printhead are different distances away from the substrate to be printed. To print the substrate, the nozzles in the nozzle row of the inkjet printhead or of each inkjet printhead are actuated in such a way that that the differences in the nozzle to substrate travel time caused by the different distances between the nozzles in each row and the substrate to be printed are equalized or compensated.

Method for operating an inkjet printing apparatus

A rotary printing press is disclosed. The press includes at least one plate-free printing unit for printing a substrate web with a static print image for print copies of a print job and at least one plate-free printing unit, in particular an inkjet printing unit for printing the substrate web with a dynamic print image. The/each plate-free printing unit can be shifted from a printing position in which the substrate web can be printed by the same printing unit, into a service position in which no substrate web can be printed by the same printing unit. A device which is assigned to the service position is printable by at least one plate-free printing unit that is shifted into the service position, such that the printing parameters of the same can be verified and adapted to subsequent printing of the substrate web in the printing position.

A method for printing a printing substrate is disclosed. The printing substrate is printed by a printing-plate-based printing method, in particular by an offset printing method, with a printed image that is the same for printed copies of a print job and therefore with a static printed image as well as, in addition to the printing-plate-based printing method, by a non-printing-plate-based printing method, in particular an inkjet printing method, with a printed image that is variable for the printed copies of the print job and therefore with a dynamic printed image. After the static and dynamic printing of the printing substrate, each printed copy is detected using measuring techniques and recorded at least in sections in such a manner that each printed copy is verifiable with respect to its authenticity.

A method for reducing the strikethrough effect in inkjet printing on thin substrates is disclosed. The method includes determining a normal print quality; determining a normal quantity of ink which would be used for inkjet printing of a certain print image on a strikethrough-resistant substrate, based on the normal print quality; determining a minimal print quality for the print image to be printed; determining a maximal value for the strikethrough effect; reducing the normal quantity of ink to a reduced quantity of ink, so that the print image has at least the minimal print quality and the maximal value of the strikethrough effect is not exceeded.

Method for reducing a strikethrough effect in inkjet printing on thin substrates

An inkjet printing apparatus includes an array of inkjet print heads, wherein each print head has at least one ink port for receiving ink, at least one nozzle for directing ink onto a substrate to be printed, and at least one control terminal for receiving a supply voltage and/or control signals. A print head mounting element positions the print heads in a defined orientation relative to each other. An electrical supply unit extending over the array is connected to the control terminals of all of the print heads, and can supply a supply voltage and/or print head specific control signals to all of the print heads in common. A mechanical supply unit extending over the array is connected to the ink ports of all of the print heads, and can supply ink to all of the print heads in common.

Inkjet printing apparatus

A method for the printing of a print fabric is disclosed. Output data, more preferably an output matrix of a print image to be printed with an inkjet printing device is converted to target data, more preferably a target matrix, for controlling the inkjet printing device in real time dependent on a current printing speed, a current drop frequency of the inkjet printing head of the inkjet printing device, and a current inclination angle of the nozzle row of the inkjet printing head relative to the transport direction of the print fabric prior to transmitting the data to the inkjet printing device.
