A knife has a first part and a second part movably engaged to the first part along a path between an open position in which a housing interior is accessible and a closed position. A holding surface is fixed on and jointly slidable with the second part, and a third part is fixable on the first part, An actuator is movable on the second part between an actuated position and an unactuated position. An arm integral with or fixed on the third part is operatively engaged by the actuator and displaced on movement of the actuator between the unactuated position and the actuated position between a locking position securing the second part in one of the open and closed positions and a release position.

Knife

A knife with automatic blade retraction including a housing, a moveable actuating device, a rotatable blade unit, and a retraction element which always applies a retraction force to the blade unit in the direction of the retracted position. The rotatable blade unit can be brought into engagement with the actuating device and is moveable by means of the actuating device from a position retracted in the housing into a position extended from the housing. The blade unit is also rotatable by the action of a cutting force in an extended position from an engagement position in which the blade unit is in engagement with the actuating device into a release position in which the blade unit is not in engagement with the actuating device.

Knife with automatic blade retraction

The invention relates to a knife with a housing () and with a blade holder () for holding a blade (), the blade holder () being movable between a safety position in which the blade () is inaccessible within the housing () and a cutting position in which the blade () projects at least partially out of the housing (), the cutting position being defined by the interaction of at least one stop surface () associated with the housing () and at least one counterpart surface () associated with the blade holder ().

A knife () with automatic blade retraction including a housing (), a moveable actuating device (), a rotatable blade unit (), and a retraction element () which always applies a retraction force to the blade unit () in the direction of the retracted position. The rotatable blade unit () can be brought into engagement with the actuating device () and is moveable by means of the actuating device () from a position retracted in the housing () into a position extended from the housing (). The blade unit () is also rotatable by the action of a cutting force in an extended position from an engagement position in which the blade unit () is in engagement with the actuating device () into a release position in which the blade unit () is not in engagement with the actuating device ().

The invention relates to a knife including a housing () inside which a blade holder () is movably mounted. The blade holder () comprises a main part () and least one holding part () which is movable between a holding position and a in replacement position. In the holding position, a blade () can be tightly retained in a replaceable manner in a blade seat between a first holding surface () of the main part () and a second holding surface () of the holding part (), while in the replacement position, the blade () can be removed from the blade seat or a new blade can be mounted in the blade seat. The invention is characterized in that in at least one relative position of the blade holder () to the housing (), the blade holder () is biased against a stop () by a restoring force, and in that the holding part () can be moved into the blade replacement position by having an abutment surface () on the stop () cooperate with a mating surface () on the blade holder ().

A knife () and a knife housing (). The knife comprises the housing (), which includes a blade slider () which is mounted to the housing () and is reciprocable by means of an actuating device () between a safety position and a cutting position, and a return element () for applying a return force to the blade slider () in the direction of the safety position. The knife further comprises a blade () arranged on the blade slider (). In this arrangement the blade () is mounted rotatably to the blade slider ().

Safety knife

A dispenser for utility-knife blades has a longitudinally elongated housing having a longitudinally forwardly open front end and a pair of transversely confronting inner faces each formed with a flat front portion terminating at the open front end and a flat rear portion. Each front portion is offset transversely outward from the respective rear portion and forms therewith a respective longitudinally forwardly directed shoulder. A slide in the housing is formed with a transversely throughgoing compartment adapted to hold a stack of the utility knife blades. The slide is shiftable between a rear position with the stack of blades resting by gravity on the rear portion of whichever inner face is directed upward and a front position with the stack resting on the front portion of the upwardly directed inner face and forward of the shoulder of the upwardly directed inner face. The offset is equal generally to a thickness of a single blade.

Utility-blade dispenser

An adapter for the coupling of two different electrical plugs, in particular for vehicles, comprises an electrically conductive cage open at two ends, in particular pin-like electrical contacts insertable into the cage with differing contact ends matched to the respective plug and in particular two differing insulation parts insertable into the cage and matched to the respective plug for the fixing of the electrical contacts. The cage, the electrical contacts and the insulation parts supporting them are designed such that different receptacle-like plug receivers matched to the respective plug result in the region of the two open ends of the cage.

Adapter

A ferrule for a light guide comprises a continuous metal sleeve which has a first tubular section and, at an axial spacing therefrom, a coaxial second tubular section which are connected to one another via an intermediate section, and a first plastic molded part formed around the free end of the first tubular section and a second plastic molded part which is provided at an axial spacing therefrom and which is formed around the ends of the two tubular sections adjacent to the intermediate section and around the intermediate section.

Ferrule for a light guide

A plug connector for plugging together with a complementary plug connector in a plugging direction, in particular for use in a motor vehicle, comprises a contact element receiver for receiving a contact element, preferably at least two contact elements, a screen which at least partly surrounds the contact element receiver and a housing which at least partly accommodates the contact element receiver and the screen.

In order to design a plug connector made of a housing (2), housing modules (6, 7) and plug-in modules (33) in such a way that a readily assembled modular system is produced which fulfils the known requirements with regard to the sealing of contact parts and system sealing, the plug-in module (33) sliding along the housing modules (6, 7) can be inserted into hollow spaces (8, 9), wherein in one of their longitudinal walls (14, 15, 34, 35) the modules (6, 7, 33) are constructed with flaps (16, 17, 36, 37) which can be swivelled outwardly in the plug-in direction (S) for locking contact parts (10, 57).
