A palletized tray system () is disclosed having a pallet () and a top piece () with a plurality of modular, stackable trays () disposed therebetween. The top piece () can be mated to a tray () or the pallet () positioned below the top piece (); the pallet () can be mated to a tray () or the top piece () positioned above the pallet (); and, each tray () may be mated with another tray (), the pallet () or the top piece ().

Palletized tray system

A new drop box assembly or container having a base frame, a pair of runners to elevate the base frame from a surface, a first pair of door panels attached along one edge to the base frame, a sleeve having a plurality of sidewalls, and a top frame is disclosed. The base frame is preferably designed with a plurality of side members configured to define an opening, and a channel seated within the side members and circumjacent the opening&mdash;an upper surface of each side member being sloped away from the channel and toward the opening. Engagement of the disclosed container by a forklift or the like from four directions is permissible. A first means for securing the sleeve within the channel of the base frame includes a plurality of connecting members on one of either the base frame or the sleeve. Such connecting members include a plurality of male connecting members on the sleeve and a plurality of corresponding female connecting members on the base frame. An optional pair of short door panels may be included to assist flow direction of the discharging material. Compaction of the preferred container allows space efficiencies during shipping and storage of the empty container to be realized.

Drop box container

A container is disclosed having a base, opposed side walls, and a rear wall. The base has an upper surface with a downward slope (&agr;) towards the rear wall. The rear wall has a surface which is preferably angled to be perpendicular to the upper surface of the base. Such a configuration permits squared items to be stored within the container on a edge while maintaining full contact along an adjacent edge with the rear wall. The side walls and rear wall are hingedly attached to the base and connected to one another using interlocking connectors along juxtaposed edges. Alternatively, the present invention may include a double sloped base upper surface angled toward a center wall panel. The surfaces on each side of the center wall are preferably sloped to be perpendicular to the upper surface of the adjacent base upper surface. A double-sloped container using at least one center wall panel is also disclosed with similar features to the single-sloped container.

A clamping assembly (10) adapted for attaching to a pair of substantially parallel forklift tines (14) is disclosed. The assembly (10) includes an L-shaped support bar (18) having a horizontal leg (18a) with at least one slot (26) therein and a vertical leg (18b). A fastener (27,28) passing through the slot (26) interconnects the support bar (18) to a clamp plate (22). A pair of slider bars (20), each having a pair of substantially vertical counterbores (24a) therethrough, are connected by separate adjustable fasteners (24) to the clamp plate (22).

A composite pallet (10) is disclosed that includes a wooden base (21), a wooden deck (11), a plurality of plastic sleeves (100) and a plurality of plastic connectors (80). The sleeves (100) fit into passageways (50) formed of channels (18, 28) and openings (19, 32) in the pallet (20). Each sleeve (100) has a cylindrical sleeve body (101) with a projecting lip (102) at one end. A plurality of tabs (103) a circumferentially spaced apart on the sleeve body (101).
