A nonwoven fabric has a volume-giving material, in particular fiber balls, down and/or fine feathers, and has a maximum tensile strength, measured according to DIN EN 29 073 at a mass per unit area of 50 g/min at least one direction, of at least 0.3 N/5 cm, in particular of 0.3 N/5 cm to 100 N/5 cm.

Volume nonwoven fabric

A method for producing a volume nonwoven fabric includes the steps of: (a) providing a nonwoven fabric raw material, containing fiber balls and binder fibers; (b) providing an air-laying device, which has at least two spiked rollers between which a gap is formed; (c) processing the nonwoven fabric raw material in the device in an air-laying method, the nonwoven fabric raw material passing through the gap between the spiked rollers, fibers or fiber bundles being pulled from the fiber balls by the spikes; (d) laying on a laying apparatus; and (e) thermally bonding so as to obtain the volume nonwoven fabric.

The invention relates to a textile fabric having a coating composed of two layers of thermoplastic hot-seal adhesives of differing compositions applied one on top of the other, the second hot-seal adhesive, which is applied to the first, having a melting point of &#x3e;135&#xb0; C. and a melt flow index (MFI) value of 50 to 250 g/10 minutes (190&#xb0; C./2.16 kg). The invention further relates to a method for producing a textile fabric, comprising the following steps: a) producing a textile fabric using a textile fabric manufacturing technique; b) applying a layer of a first hot-seal adhesive to the textile fabric; and c) applying a layer of a second hot-seal adhesive to the textile fabric so as to d) form a layer of the second hot-seal adhesive over the layer of first hot-seal adhesive, the second hot-seal adhesive used having a melting point of &#x3e;135&#xb0; C. and a melt flow index (MFI) value of 50 to 250 g/10 minutes (190&#xb0; C./2.16 kg). The textile fabrics may be used as interlining or lining material which can withstand stress during care treatment.

Textile fabric with improved finish, production and use thereof

A method for forming a textile fusible sheet material includes producing a fibrous web from fibers on a laydown apparatus so as to form a backing ply and applying a mixture of a binder and a thermoplastic polymer to selected areal regions of the fibrous web. The method further includes thermally treating the fibrous web so as to dry and bond the fibers of the fibrous web using the binder to form a bonded fibrous web nonwoven fabric and so as to sinter the thermoplastic polymer with a surface of the bonded fibrous web nonwoven fabric.

Fusible textile fabric

A nonwoven textile having reversible enhanced thermal control properties, the material comprising: a bat or web bonded by polymeric binder containing thermal control material within the interior of the bat or web, wherein the thermal control material is dispersed throughout the interior of the polymeric binder, and wherein the thermal control material is substantially entirely within the interior of the nonwoven textile.

Thermal control nonwoven material

A method for forming a thermofusible sheet material includes providing a backing ply including a textile material and applying a mixture of a binder and a thermoplastic polymer to selected areal regions of the backing ply so as to form a two-layer bonding compound structure. The method further includes thermally treating the backing ply so as to dry the mixture and to sinter the thermoplastic polymer onto a surface of the backing ply.

Thermofusible textile fabric

A bonded structure for use in a garment, comprising at least two mutually interbonded interlining fabrics, wherein the interlining fabrics each include warp yarns and weft yarns and wherein the interlining fabrics are next to each other, such that the structure has high shape stability even after repeated washing and drying operations, wherein the warp yarns of the first interlining fabric are at least partly in a parallel arrangement with the warp yarns of a second interlining fabric, or in that part of the warp yarns of a first interlining fabric are oriented at an angle in the range from 45 &#xb0; to 90 &#xb0; in relation to the warp yarns of a second interlining fabric.

Bonded structure for use in garments

The invention relates to a nonwoven fabric which is bonded at selected points by use of a binder containing particles composed of filler material (a phase change material, among others) and which is not bonded at other selected points. The nonwoven fabric is characterized by a soft touch and good flexibility, and may be used as an interlining material or an intermediate layer.

Elastic, soft and punctiformly bound non-woven fabric provided with filler particles and method for production and the use thereof

A fusible interlining includes a textile interlining web coated with a plurality of double-layered adhesive dots on a first side of the textile interlining web. Each of the plurality of double-layered adhesive dots includes a bottom dot facing the interlining web and an upper dot disposed above the bottom dot. Each bottom dot includes a binder paste containing 50 to 95 percent by weight of an acrylate binder dispersion having a glass transition temperature T&#x3c;room temperature and 5 to 50 percent by weight of a substance that is one of an epoxy resin having an epoxy equivalent weight of 500 to 4000 mVal/kg and a copolymer of acrylates and monomers with at least one glycidyl side group. Each bottom dot may further include 0 to 20 percent by weight of a hardener. Each upper dot includes at least one of a copolyamide, a copolyester, a thermoplastic polyurethane and a polyolefin. A ratio of a mass of the bottom dot to a mass of the upper dot is from 1:0.5 to 1:5.

Fusible interlining

A flexible flat cable includes at least two layers of nonwoven fabric, the fabric consisting of fibers selected from the group consisting of polyester, polyamide, polyolefin, syndiotactic polystyrene, polysulfone, and glass, the fabric having pores between the fibers, the flat cable also includes a first signal lead embedded between the at least two fibers and a binder disposed in the pores so as to provide the fabric with at least one of a dielectric strength of at least 500 V and a dimensional stability of at least 0.05% at a temperature of 140&#xb0; C. over a period of 24 hours.

A fixing liner, made up of a textile liner web ( ), which is coated on one side with double-layer adhesive mass points, which are made up of lower points, facing the liner web, and upper points ( ); arranged on top of them, the lower points ( ) being made up of a powdery mixture of 25 to 90% by weight of an epoxide resin having an epoxide equivalent weight of 500 to 4000 mVal/kg, 10 to 75% by weight of an acid terminated polyamide, a polyester, a polyurethane and/or a vinyl copolymer having carboxyl, anhydro, hydroxy, and/or amido side groups and having a melt flow index (MFI) of 40 to 120 g/10 min measured at 160&deg; C. and 2.16 kg, and 0 to 20% by weight of a hardener as well as the auxiliary and filler materials that are customarily used to produce a paste, the upper points ( ) being composed of acid-terminated polyamides and/or copolyesters, and the weight ratio of the masses, obtained in the lower and upper points ( ), being 1:0.5 to 1:5.

Fixing liner with double layer adhesive dots

An adhesive powder for bonding flat, closed, or porous substrates, the adhesive powder being applied in the first step to a first substrate, an intermediate product that is non-adhesive at room temperature and stable in storage being produced, and the first substrate being bonded to a second substrate in a second step by applying an increased temperature and pressure, as a combination of the following components: i) a thermoplastic polymer having a proportion of 25 to 95% by weight; and ii) at least one epoxy resin that is solid at room temperature and has a proportion of 5 to 75% by weight; and, if desired, iii) at least one pre-adduct of epoxy resins and polyamines that is solid at room temperature and has a proportion of at most 25% by weight, a physical bonding taking place when the adhesive powder is applied to the first substrate in the first step, and the two substrates being bonded in the second step by the powder components being chemically cross-linked or post-cross-linked among one another, and being subsequently cooled.

Adhesive powder

A preform material for manufacturing a protective garment having a top material, in particular a firefighter's protective garment. The material is made of an insulating lining made up of an at least two-ply water-jet-consolidated nonwoven fabric having a weight per unit area of 80 g/m or lighter for each individual ply, a lining material having a weight per unit area of 120 g/m or lighter, that is quilted to the at least two-ply nonwoven fabric; and a semipermeable membrane, constituting a moisture barrier. After the at least two-ply water-jet-consolidated nonwoven fabric has been quilted to the lining material, the semipermeable membrane is laminated onto the outer side, facing away from the lining material, of the nonwoven fabric ply and has a weight per unit area of 20 to 30 g/m .

Preform material for manufacturing a protective garment, and method for manufacturing it

Process for the production of fusible interlining fabrics

An adsorption air filter has a self-supporting shaped structure of adsorber particles of regular or irregular form, which are joined to one another by binder particles also of regular or irregular form. The melting range of the binder particles is less than that of the adsorber particles, and the binder particles are smaller than the adsorber particles. The adsorber particles have an average size of 100 to 7000 .mu.m. The three-dimensional structure of the air filter has substantially repeating units of one adsorber particle and one binder particle, without the presence of agglomerates. The binder must not spread over the adsorber surface below 100.degree. C. In the production method, adsorber and binder particles are mixed with water and heated in a closed mold under pressure; the water is then driven off and the shaped element is allowed to cool.
